Job Description

The Manufacturing CNC Programmer's primary responsibility is modelling and post processing of Manufacturing Projects requiring advanced High Speed CNC Machining G-Coding utilizing SolidWorks and Mastercam. This role supports Oceaneering's Marine Services Division (MSD) and is located in Chesapeake, VA. Overtime may be required up to 20% of the year.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for day-to-day machine shop coordination of programming issues.


  • Evaluate projects and TWD requirements for computer aided manufacturing realization.


  • Generate solid modelling files.


  • Generate CNC tool pathing with non-interference proofing.


  • Create, organize, and manager CAM post editor files.


  • Upload operator-ready G-Code program solutions for safe CNC Turning and Machining Center production operations.


  • Develop advanced manufacturing production processes for high-speed CNC Turning and Machining Center applications.


  • Design and generate program code and manufacturing processes for required project item specific fixturing and tooling.


  • Develop step-by-step operator friendly set-up process and production routing.


  • Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to and enforcing all safety procedures and policies inside and outside the facility, including use of personal protective and other equipment as required.


Qualifications

Required

  • High School diploma/GED.


  • Minimum of five (5) years of CNC machining process development experience.


  • Minimum of five (5) years CAM Systems post editing process programming experience, specifically SolidWorks & Mastercam.


  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience with close tolerance, high-speed machining.


  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Excel, Word, etc.)


  • Must be able to read blueprints and have strong knowledge of applied math.


  • Must be a U.S. citizen who is not a dual citizen of any other country.

  • Conventional machining experience desired
