Full Job Description
SLB is seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven individual to join our manufacturing team as a Manufacturing & Quality Expert based in Nisku, Alberta. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and continuously improving manufacturing processes while ensuring products meet quality, reliability, and compliance requirements. You will work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, Operations, and Quality teams to support both new and existing products.

This role offers the opportunity to lead process improvement projects, perform root cause analysis on product quality issues, leverage data to drive decisions, and bring innovative ideas that enhance efficiency, quality, and overall manufacturing performance.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on manufacturing efficiency, quality, and cost reduction.
  • Analyze manufacturing processes and identify opportunities to optimize workflows, layouts, and production performance.
  • Conduct root cause investigations on product returns, quality concerns, and process deviations, and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with Production, Planning, Procurement, Maintenance, and Engineering teams to drive operational improvements.
  • Monitor and report on manufacturing and quality KPIs, using data to identify trends and support decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, work processes, and quality control procedures.
  • Support manufacturing technology implementation, automation initiatives, and process standardization efforts.
  • Ensure compliance with quality management systems, internal and external standards, and continuous improvement practices.


Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Quality, or a related technical discipline.
  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing, quality, continuous improvement, or a related industrial environment.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification or demonstrated experience applying Lean and Continuous Improvement methodologies is considered an asset.
  • Experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS), root cause analysis, audits, and corrective action processes.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and manufacturing or quality reporting tools; experience with ERP systems is an asset.Data analytics, PowerBI and PowerApps knowledge is an asset.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively across multiple teams and functions.
  • Must be legally authorized to work and reside in Canada without company sponsorship.
