Job Description

Position Summary

Provide day to day leadership for the development of the Design Team for delivery of Engineering and Design Services on regional projects. The Managing Principal Engineer will directly have oversight of the management team supervising the Engineering, BIM, and Detailing teams.

Position Details
  • Manages an engineering department or division and has P&L responsibility
  • Sets strategic goals and objectives and is responsibility for project scheduling within the division
  • Uses creativity, foresight and judgment in anticipating and solving unprecedented engineering complexities, determining program objectives and requirements
  • Organizes programs and projects and develops standards and guidelines for diverse engineering activities
  • Recognized leader and authority in company in broad area of specialization or intensely specialized field

Qualifications
  • Four-year degree in Engineering or related field. MS degree preferred
  • Licensed PE required
  • Mastery knowledge of applicable systems design, such as HVAC, plumbing, etc., as well as all design engineering aspects
  • Excellent leadership skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to communication with all levels of employees, clients and general contractors
  • Strong public speaking and negotiation skills
  • Strong computer skills, including CADD and Microsoft Office Products, such as Excel
