Position Title: Managing Director, Public Finance
An established financial advisory firm is seeking a Managing Director of Public Finance to enhance its team. This role presents a significant opportunity for an experienced financial advisor to leverage their skills in the not-for-profit sector, particularly within healthcare and higher education. The ideal candidate will engage in business origination and deal execution, contributing to the firm's growth and success. The position demands a proactive approach and a strong understanding of public finance dynamics. Salary Range: $250,000 / Year DOE
Responsibilities: - Business prospecting, origination, and development
- Deal execution from structuring to closing
- Lead financing teams through plan of finance analysis and development, document drafting and negotiation, and execution
- Work with support staff to develop financial models and related analyses based on client financing needs
- Prepare correspondence, marketing information, and presentations with other advisors and associates
- Organize responses to formal solicitations by potential clients, where applicable
- Direct research and compilation of market data relating to prior or future transactions
- Coordinate calls with lawyers, accountants, rating agencies, insurers, and other professionals to coordinate the deal process
- Perform other duties and special projects as necessary
Requirements: - A minimum of eight years of public finance, municipal bond investment banking, or financial advisory work experience
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required
- Experience originating business and new clients is required
- Good understanding of public finance and municipal bond investment banking is required
- Fluency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft applications, including PowerPoint, is required
- A Series 50 license is required; if not already licensed, must be willing to obtain the appropriate licenses within three months from the date of employment
