Full Job Description

Do you have a passion for global mission work and a heart for supporting long-term missionary presence around the world? We’re seeking a strategic and service-minded leader to serve as Managing Director of Global Access for Global Enterprise Services. In this role, you will help equip and support approximately 3,600 global personnel by stewarding visa, residency, and entity solutions that enable sustainable access and maximize gospel engagement. You’ll lead the Access Center of Excellence, provide high-quality operational support, and build trusted partnerships that advance the IMB’s mission worldwide.

Location: Preferably Richmond, VA

Rate: Commensurate with experience + great benefits!

Responsibilities:

  • Set vision, priorities, and standards for IMB’s global access solutions.

  • Lead development and stewardship of access pathways (visas, residency, work authorizations, and entity-based platforms).

  • Monitor regulatory and geopolitical factors affecting access and advise senior leadership on risks, opportunities, and strategic adjustments.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to align access strategies with organizational objectives and global realities.

  • Approve, or recommend approval of, capital use supporting Access initiatives in accordance with policy.

  • Oversee governance, compliance, and performance of 200+ IMB for-profit and nonprofit entities.

  • Ensure accurate documentation, reporting, and risk assessment for all entities.

  • Provide leadership with regular updates and recommendations regarding entity creation, modification, or closure.

  • Establish standards and guidance for Global Logistics Services related to visas, residency, work permits, and entity management.

  • Ensure timely, dependable support for complex or escalated access issues in coordination with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Develop tools, procedures, and resources that improve global readiness and reduce operational disruption.

  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with SBC churches, partners, and key stakeholders.

  • Represent IMB priorities and access strategies to external constituencies in support of organizational objectives.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, International Business, or a related field preferred.

  • More than eight (8) years of relevant professional experience.

  • Demonstrated ability to identify trends, risks, and anomalies within complex data sets and draw sound, actionable conclusions.

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present findings and recommendations clearly in written, visual, and presentation formats.

  • Proven ability to design, develop, and implement tools and processes to effectively carry out job responsibilities.
