About the Opportunity
An national residential real estate brand is seeking a dynamic Managing Director to lead and grow its Miami office.
This is a highly visible, hands-on leadership role for a proven brokerage "rainmaker" who knows how to build an office, attract top-producing agents, create a strong culture, and drive sales performance. The Managing Director will take ownership of the office's growth strategy, with a significant focus on recruiting, agent retention, business development, and day-to-day leadership.
Role and Responsibilities
- Lead the strategy and day-to-day operations of the Miami brokerage office.
- Serve as the face of the office within the Miami real estate community.
- Build the office by aggressively and consistently recruiting high-producing and high-potential real estate agents.
- Develop and maintain a strong recruiting pipeline through relationships, networking, industry involvement, referrals, and direct outreach.
- Act as a true builder who can attract talent, generate opportunities, and build the firm's presence and market share in Miami.
- Create a compelling value proposition that clearly communicates why established and emerging agents should join the firm.
- Retain and motivate the existing agent base by providing responsive, hands-on leadership and meaningful professional support.
- Coach agents on business planning, lead generation, relationship development, conversion, personal branding, and increasing production.
- Identify opportunities for agents to grow their individual businesses and improve their overall performance.
- Set clear office goals and hold agents accountable.
- Drive sales activity and monitor office performance, pipeline development, listings, closings, and agent productivity.
- partner with the office's administrative and operational staff.
- Create a positive, ambitious, and people-first culture in which agents feel supported, challenged, and empowered to succeed.
- Oversee the onboarding of new agents and ensure they are properly trained on the company's systems, methods, standards, and culture.
- Represent the company at industry, networking, community, and business-development events.
- Maintain compliance with all applicable Florida real estate laws, regulations, licensing requirements, and company policies.
Qualifications
- Significant leadership experience within residential real estate brokerage, preferably within the luxury market.
- A demonstrated ability to build, grow, or substantially expand a successful brokerage office.
- Proven success recruiting productive real estate agents and developing a consistent agent-recruiting pipeline.
- Must be a natural builder with strong relationships, market credibility, and the ability to create business opportunities.
- Deep knowledge of the Miami residential real estate market and its brokerage community.
- Strong existing relationships with agents, brokers, developers, attorneys, wealth advisors, and other real estate industry professionals are highly desirable.
- Able to articulate a compelling vision and persuade accomplished agents to join and remain with the firm.
- Experience coaching agents and helping them increase production, strengthen their business practices, and achieve measurable growth.
- Strong verbal communication, leadership, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Polished social presence and the credibility to represent an established luxury brand.
- Entrepreneurial, highly accountable, and comfortable operating with significant autonomy.
- Proven ability to develop systems and processes that support growth and operational consistency.
- Thorough knowledge of Florida real estate laws and regulations.
- Experience in a high-growth, entrepreneurial, or office-building environment is preferred.
- Bi-lingual preferred but not required
Compensation and Benefits
This is a full-time employee position. Compensation is commensurate with experience and is generally expected to be in the range of $150,000-$200,000 in on-target earnings (including base plus bonuses earned when KPI are met.) The compensation package includes a full benefits package.
