The Role:
As Managing Broker, you lead one of our branches - and you're the reason agents stay, grow, and choose to build their business with us. Think of it less as a traditional management seat and more as account management at scale: the agents are your accounts. About three-quarters of the job is keeping them productive and supported, reducing churn, and recruiting new talent into the branch. The other quarter is running a tidy, compliant, well-staffed office. You'll be the first call when a deal gets complicated, a consumer complaint lands, or an agent needs coaching to grow - and you'll handle all of it with a cool head.
What You'll Own:
- Agents stay and grow. Own retention, top producers are happy, churn is down, and agents know you've got their back.
- The branch grows. You recruit new and experienced agents and bring them in well, hitting branch growth and retention goals.
- Agents get real answers, fast. You're the first call on deals, complaints, and tricky situations, and you resolve them within the rules.
- Hard situations get handled. Consumer and agent complaints, RECO matters, and interpersonal conflict are managed calmly and professionally.
- The office runs clean. Operations, compliance, and staffing are stable and streamlined, even at scale.
- The branch gets better. Within your first few months, agents and staff feel real operational and cultural improvements.
- Promotes the Company and develops business within the area, investigating opportunities for RAHR to participate in community events, and building an inclusive and positive culture in the community.
- Organize and lead sales meetings, training presentations and branch events that support agent retention and the achievement of annual retention objectives.
- Makes certain that all practices are in accordance with Company Policies and Procedures, Code of Ethics and/or Code of Business Conduct.
- Field complaints and requests in a professional manner, working together to reach a mutual outcome for both parties.
- Effectively handle all consumer and colleague complaints, including legal actions from RECO and Boards, with support and input from head office and corporate counsel.
What We're Looking For:
Must-haves:
- An active Ontario real estate license and a broker's license (RECO), in good standing.
- 7+ years in real estate, including real management or leadership experience.
- A strong communicator and a genuine people person, you build trust quickly and stay calm when things get heated.
- Comfortable with technology and a growth mindset, you pick up new tools fast and figure things out when you don't have the answer.
- Ability to multitask various projects while maintaining a friendly and professional demeanour
- Proficient in current technology with the ability to adapt to new technology
Nice to have:
- Previous agent experience.
- Sales experience and the ability to lead a sales meeting.
- CRM experience (aptitude matters more than the specific platform).
- Additional certifications/designations are an asset
What We Offer:
- Competitive compensation commensurate with role and skill set
- Health, Dental & Vision benefits, plus a Health Spending Account & Lifestyle Spending Account
- A fast-paced, growth-oriented environment with the challenges and rewards that come with it
