Responsibilities

As the Manager - Workforce Management Technology, you will lead the maintenance, transformation, optimization, and operational governance of Foot Locker's Workforce Management application landscape. In this role, you will:
  • Become a Visionary Leader: Craft and execute the WFM application roadmap, champion implementation efforts, ensure robust production support, manage vendor partnerships, uphold budgetary discipline, and develop a high-performing team.
  • Define the Future State: Design, develop, and implement tactical and strategic plans for Workforce Management products, capabilities, and platform modernization.
  • Facilitate Teamwork: Build consensus and action across diverse perspectives while managing and escalating critical issues to optimize service delivery and business outcomes.
  • Own the WFM Landscape: Oversee the management, enhancement, integration, and lifecycle of UKG Pro Workforce Management (Dimensions) and UKG Workforce Central (WFC), including Timekeeping, Scheduling, Labor Forecasting, Attendance, Accruals, Absence Management, Workforce Analytics, Mobile, Devices, and labor compliance capabilities.
  • Drive Large-Scale Delivery: Lead global implementations, WFC-to-UKG Pro WFM migrations, upgrades, feature releases, and cross-functional projects, ensuring timely delivery and quality outcomes.
  • Partner with the Business: Collaborate with Retail and Distribution Center Operations, HR, Payroll, Finance, Legal, Compliance, and Technology leaders to gather requirements and align platform capabilities with strategic and operational needs.
  • Lead Enterprise Integration: Govern integrations between WFM and HR, Payroll, Identity and Access Management, retail store systems, ERP, middleware, reporting, and analytics platforms, with a strong focus on data integrity and reliable time-to-pay processing.
  • Lead a High-Performing Team: Provide direction, mentorship, and development for employees, contractors, implementation partners, and managed service providers while fostering accountability, innovation, and continuous learning.
  • Maintain System Health: Lead production support, incident and problem management, root-cause analysis, change and release management, platform monitoring, and preventive improvements to ensure availability, performance, and supportability.
  • Strengthen Governance and Compliance: Ensure adherence to labor regulations, payroll requirements, SOX controls, internal audit expectations, security standards, and enterprise architecture and change governance.
  • Optimize Processes: Analyze current workflows and implement technology-driven improvements that enhance labor efficiency, payroll accuracy, associate and manager experience, compliance, reporting, and operational scalability.
  • Drive Communication with Impact: Provide clear communication to business and technology stakeholders regarding roadmaps, project plans, key initiatives, operational performance, risks, dependencies, and critical incidents.


Qualifications

  • Experience: 7+ years experience and a proven track record of enterprise Workforce Management system implementations, maintenance, production support, and large-scale transformation programs, preferably within a complex retail or distribution environment.
  • Core UKG Expertise: Extensive experience managing and optimizing UKG Pro Workforce Management (Dimensions) and UKG Workforce Central (WFC) application landscapes.
  • Functional WFM Knowledge: Deep knowledge of Timekeeping, Scheduling, Labor Forecasting, Attendance, Accruals, Absence Management, Workforce Analytics, labor optimization, pay rules, work rules, scheduling rules, and workforce compliance.
  • Transformation Leadership: Experience leading WFC-to-UKG Pro WFM migrations, multi-location deployments, platform upgrades, testing, cutover, hypercare, and transition to steady-state support.
  • Integration Expertise: Demonstrated experience integrating WFM platforms with HR, Payroll, ERP, Identity and Access Management, retail systems, reporting, analytics, APIs, middleware, Boomi, and file-based interfaces.
  • Technical Landscape: Experience managing hybrid ecosystems that include SaaS, cloud, on-premises, mobile, device, interface, reporting, and data components.
  • Business Process Knowledge: Strong understanding of retail and distribution center workforce operations, time-to-pay processes, labor compliance, workforce scheduling, payroll dependencies, and leading practices.
  • Operational Excellence: Proven ability to manage application support, incidents, problems, changes, releases, service levels, vendors, audits, and critical business events in a mission-critical environment.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to build and manage effective teams, develop talent, manage partners, influence stakeholders, and lead complex initiatives in a fast-paced global organization.
  • Analytical Thinking: Strong problem-solving and data-driven decision-making skills with a focus on root-cause resolution, risk reduction, automation, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaboration: Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with a history of working effectively across business, technology, vendor, and executive stakeholder groups.
  • Education: A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Preferred Qualifications: UKG Pro WFM and/or UKG Workforce Central certifications, direct experience supporting large hourly workforces, and experience operating across multiple countries or labor jurisdictions.

Benefits

The annual base salary range is $115,000 - $130,000. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. This role is also eligible to receive short term incentives that align with individual and company performance. Salary will be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Salary is one component of the Foot Locker, Inc. total compensation package, which includes the below.
