Summary:Additionally, to ensure uninterrupted distribution of finished product and to ensure compliance with state drug wholesale license requirements, the incumbent must be a licensed management-level Designated Drug Representative.
Primary Responsibilities:- Manages the ERP Finished Goods Serialization operation including setting up/revising master data, transactions, and timely resolution of problems to ensure the daily shipping schedule is met.
- Manages employees responsible for ERP transactions involving order summaries, post goods issuance and completion of shipment documentation.
- Manages the finished product distribution hold process and the return/withdrawal process which includes the receipt, assessment and quarantine of physical units as well as management of unit level serialized data.
- Manages the sample removal process for finished goods including overseeing Quality transactions affecting inventory quantities.
- Oversees the creation of stock transport orders and deliveries for plant-to-plant shipments of finished goods. Maintains proper allocation of finished products for sales by using the Batch Allocation System once released by QA. Monitors and manages ERP IM and WM quantities, and negative inventory created by incomplete transactions.
- Reviews, implements, and maintains SOPs and job aides related to functional responsibilities. Collects, analyzes and prepares reports including but not limited to KPIs and facility utilization, as well as external reports for regulatory agencies as needed.
- Maintains and defines as per operational needs, materials flow, working warehouse areas, and coordinates equipment maintenance.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:- The position requires a solid knowledge of warehouse, distribution, and logistics functions in a GMP environment.
- Knowledge of key functions/processes (e.g., Quality) having an impact on the raw material and distribution operations is required.
- Knowledge of, and experience dealing with customer and regulatory audits is required.
- Must possess leadership and supervisory skills to lead, coach, and motivate along with demonstrating excellent interpersonal skills to relate to peers, various levels of management and key stakeholders.
- This position requires solid working knowledge of MS Office applications, proficiency in Excel and demonstrated expertise in ERP as it relates to raw materials and finished goods.
- Must consistently demonstrate sound judgment when assessing situations and addressing problems.
Education and Experience:- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
- At least 8 years' experience and demonstrated success using ERP systems in a GMP warehouse / distribution environment.
- Depending on the area of assignment, directly related experience or a combination of directly related education and experience and/or competencies may be considered in place of the stated requirements. Example: If a job level requires a Bachelor's degree plus 4 years of experience, an equivalency could include 8 years of experience, an Associate's degree with 6 years of experience, or a Master's degree with 2 years of experience.
Occupational Demands:Ambient, 2-8 and -20 degrees C. Must be able to supervise employees in large areas located across warehouses which requires a considerable amount of walking and standing. Also, must get associated Certification as required.
The estimated pay scale for Manager, Warehouse and Shipping Operations role based in Vista, California, is $80,220.55 - $120,330.25 per year. Additionally, the position is eligible to participate in up to 8% of the company bonus pool.
