Full Job Description
The ServiceNow ITOM Business Analyst is responsible forbridging business requirements with ServiceNow ITOMcapabilities, ensuring successful implementation and optimizationof CMDB, Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, andCloud Discovery solutions. The role works closely with businessstakeholders, infrastructure teams, architects, and developers toanalyze requirements, define solution designs, improve IToperational processes, and support digital transformationinitiatives aligned with CSDM and ITIL best practices.Key ResponsibilitiesGather, analyze, and document business requirements forServiceNow ITOM implementations and enhancements.Conduct workshops with Infrastructure, Cloud, Security,and Application teams to understand operationalchallenges.Define functional requirements, user stories, acceptancecriteria, and process flows.Collaborate with Solution Architects and Developers totranslate business requirements into technical solutions.Support CMDB strategy by identifying CI classes,relationships, and data ownership requirements.Analyze Discovery, Service Mapping, and EventManagement outputs to identify process improvementopportunities.Ensure alignment with CSDM 5.0, CMDB governance,and ServiceNow best practices.Participate in Discovery onboarding, applicationonboarding, and Service Mapping workshops.Document As-Is and To-Be processes, businessworkflows, and operating procedures.Support CMDB health initiatives, data qualityimprovement, and governance activities.Work closely with Change, Incident, Problem, and AssetManagement teams to ensure process integration.Assist in defining KPIs, dashboards, and reporting forITOM operations.Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), defecttracking, and production validation.Required SkillStrong understanding of ServiceNow ITOM modulesincluding:CMDB,Discovery,Service Mapping,EventManagement,Cloud Discovery,IREGood knowledge of CSDM 5.0 framework.Experience in gathering and documenting businessrequirements.Strong knowledge of ITIL processes including Incident,Change, Problem, Configuration, and Asset Management.Experience creating BRDs, user stories, process flows,and acceptance criteria.Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
