Full Job Description
The Training and Documentation team is an independent group within the Investment Resource Group ("IRG") that performs several essential services such as hands-on training to support successful onboarding of new staff, maintaining current IRG procedure documentation and coordinating staff movements within IRG. The ideal candidate is a highly detail-oriented problem-solver who enjoys learning new skills, being part of a high-performing team, and patiently supporting new hires as they build confidence across different levels of experience. Our offices currently operate on a hybrid model with a combination of in-office and remote working days throughout the week.

What You Will Do
  • Onboard new employees across all offices and provide application overviews as required
  • Ensure new employees have access to the appropriate software systems by completing pre-testing before they join the department
  • Maintain the staff onboarding checklist and coordinate staff movements, including onboarding, offboarding, and internal moves within the department
  • Maintain the IRG's documentation model, including:
    • Working with the IRG Senior Managers, Managers and Staff to determine which processes need to be documented
    • Assisting the Staff with formatting, language and structure of the documents
    • Creating and reviewing documentation process workflow diagrams
    • Setting deadlines for completion of documentation and working with the IRG Managers and Team Leaders to ensure these deadlines are being met
  • Coordinate and maintain user access and perform an annual review for custodian/prime broker portals
  • Maintain and update the Certificate of Authorized Signatories list for staff changes and perform an annual review with the IRG Director and Senior Managers
  • Provide training to new staff based on team and role requirements
  • Support Certificate of Authorized Signatories audit requests, including gathering required documentation and coordinating responses with auditors
  • Assist with IRG projects, as required

What You Bring
  • Undergraduate degree in Commerce (Finance preferred) or Economics. Completion of the Canadian Securities Course or an equivalent would be an asset.
  • At least five years of related work experience in the finance/investment management industry would be a definite asset.
  • Experience training and/or coaching staff is a definite asset, with the patience and flexibility to support individuals with varying levels of experience.
  • Aptitude to understand the big picture but still be very detail-oriented.
  • Proven ability to think logically, problem solve effectively, and prioritize competing tasks. Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under pressure, dealing with changes and interruptions while maintaining strict deadlines.
  • Interest in learning about different aspects of the investment business.
  • You have a collaborative spirit that helps you work well with others and you communicate effectively.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook). Proven ability to learn new systems quickly and use them effectively and efficiently.

The salary range for this position is $103,000 - $110,000. The salary range provided reflects the base salary range for this position as required by legislation. In addition, there is an annual performance bonus which contributes to the total compensation of this position. Further questions may be directed to the HR team during the interview process.
