The Role

We're looking for someone to lead a team of Tax Operations professionals and ensure seamless execution of payroll tax filings and payments on behalf of our clients. You will report to and support the Director of Tax Operations by fulfilling responsibilities that sponsor our team's overall success and assist team members with daily priorities.

What You'll Do
  • Skillfully carry out tax fulfillment project management duties such as scheduling/workload distribution and monitoring deadlines
  • Maintain knowledge and understanding of current tax initiatives, including but not limited to changes in tax laws and regulations
  • Oversee the tax project lifecycle for semi-weekly, semi-monthly, monthly, quarterly, and annual filings and ensure that tasks are executed from project start to finish
  • Mitigate project risks before kick-off and work with the Tax Operations Director to develop resolutions as needed
  • Complete quality control reviews after each project lifecycle and report results to leadership
  • Guarantee integrity and accuracy in cash reporting/documentation and tax fund reconciliations
  • Develop team metrics and reports to identify and assess areas of improvement
  • Drive internal business initiatives and projects to gain a strategic advantage and promote organizational growth cross-functionally
  • Provide day-to-day guidance and oversight of staff; actively work to promote and recognize performance
  • Conduct regular 1:1 meetings and performance reviews with all team members and provide constructive feedback and opportunities for growth
  • Complete administrative tasks such as hiring/interviewing, approving timesheets & PTO requests
  • Document issues that require involvement from product and technology teams
  • Submit and track various data requests
  • Escalate issues as necessary

Education and Experience:
  • At least three years managing a team, or helping to lead a team, in payroll and taxes (strongly preferred)
  • Experience in a technical service role (required)
  • College experience (degree strongly preferred)
  • Experience administering client information in a database
  • Advanced technical and computer skills - Microsoft Suite, CRM, Adobe Acrobat, internal databases

  • Compensation includes a base salary range of $99,795 to $111,800. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed above.
