Aspirus Wausau Hospital in Wausau, WI is seeking a MANAGER - SYSTEM CLINICAL DOCUMENTATION IMPROVEMENT to join our team!

The System Manager of Clinical Documentation Improvement is responsible for providing leadership and oversight for the clinical documentation improvement program for Aspirus entities (hospitals, clinics, post-acute care, etc.).Responsible for management of clinical documentation improvement staff and maintaining positive collaborative communications with physician and mid-level providers regarding missing, unclear, or conflicting medical record documentation, in an effort to clarify and obtain the documentation that will support severity of illness, expected risk of mortality, patient acuity and complexity of care. This position works to appropriately integrate, facilitate best practices, achieve efficiencies and align with Aspirus' strategic plan while maintaining quality and customer service standards and ensure the department is operating within rules and regulations applicable to the department.

HOURS: Full Time 1.0 FTE, 80 Hours Biweekly

Experience/Qualifications

  • Knowledge of care delivery documentation systems and requirements normally acquired through an Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, other health care related degree, or related work experience.
  • Management experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of, experience and/or certification in clinical documentation, coding, reimbursement systems, and payment models in various care settings, such as hospitals, clinics, home health, hospice, skilled nursing, etc, preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Current RN Licensure preferred.
