Position Summary

The Manager, Capacity & Supply Chain Analytics is responsible for leading enterprise capacity planning, forecasting, integrated business planning, and supply chain analytics processes to support manufacturing operations, customer commitments, and financial performance. This role serves as the strategic link between Commercial, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, and Manufacturing teams to ensure demand, capacity, inventory, and production plans are aligned across the organization.

This position leads the development of forecasting models, capacity planning tools, business intelligence solutions, and executive reporting that provide visibility into operational constraints, growth opportunities, and business risks. The role is responsible for establishing scalable planning processes, driving data-driven decision making, and ensuring leadership has timely insights to support strategic and operational decisions.

The ideal candidate combines strong supply chain and manufacturing expertise with advanced analytical capabilities, business intelligence experience, and demonstrated success leading Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) and Integrated Business Planning (IBP) processes. This position requires a strategic thinker who can translate complex operational data into actionable recommendations that improve service, throughput, and profitability

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Capacity Planning & Supply Chain Strategy
  • Lead the development and execution of short-, mid-, and long-term capacity plans across manufacturing operations.
  • Establish Rough-Cut Capacity Planning (RCCP) methodologies and scenario modeling processes to evaluate future demand requirements and operational constraints.
  • Analyze demand, capacity, inventory, and production performance to identify bottlenecks, risks, and growth opportunities.
  • Develop capacity utilization models and reporting across critical manufacturing resources, including labor, equipment, and key supply chain constraints.
  • Partner with Operations, Engineering, Commercial, and Supply Chain teams to ensure production capability aligns with business demand.
  • Lead strategic capacity assessments and support investment decisions through quantitative analysis and business case development.
  • Drive optimization of inventory strategies, production flow, and resource utilization across the network.
  • Provide leadership during demand shifts, operational disruptions, and capacity challenges by developing recovery and mitigation plans.


Integrated Business Planning (IBP)
  • Facilitate demand, supply, inventory, and executive review meetings.
  • Partner with Commercial teams to develop consensus demand forecasts and understand changes in customer demand patterns.
  • Present planning assumptions, risks, opportunities, and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Develop scenario plans to support decision making and evaluate business impacts of demand, capacity, and inventory changes.


Business Intelligence, Analytics & Reporting
  • Design and maintain executive dashboards, KPI reporting tools, and business intelligence solutions that provide visibility across the supply chain.
  • Build and enhance analytics capabilities utilizing Power BI, Oracle, Excel, and other planning systems.
  • Develop automated reporting processes that improve accuracy, reduce manual effort, and increase organizational visibility.
  • Consolidate and analyze data from ERP, planning, scheduling, and manufacturing systems to support operational and strategic decision making.
  • Establish standardized reporting and performance measurement processes across planning and supply chain functions.
  • Analyze key performance indicators, including forecast accuracy, capacity utilization, inventory performance, customer service, throughput, and operational efficiency.
  • Support annual operating plans, strategic planning activities, and financial forecasting through advanced analytics and modeling.
  • Perform ad-hoc business analysis and provide recommendations to senior leadership.


Data Governance & Continuous Improvement
  • Establish standards for planning data integrity, reporting consistency, and analytics governance.
  • Document planning methodologies, forecasting assumptions, reporting logic, and key business processes.
  • Identify opportunities to improve planning effectiveness through automation, process simplification, and analytics.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on forecasting accuracy, capacity utilization, inventory optimization, and business performance.
  • Partner with Information Technology and business stakeholders to improve planning systems, data quality, and reporting capabilities.
  • Champion data-driven decision making throughout the organization.


Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Lead cross-functional planning efforts involving Commercial, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, Procurement, and Manufacturing teams.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and development to planning and analytical resources as organizational needs evolve.
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships and drive alignment around business priorities.
  • Communicate complex analytical findings in a clear and actionable manner to technical and non-technical audiences.

Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in supply chain planning, demand planning, capacity planning, forecasting, manufacturing operations, or business analytics.
  • 3+ years of leadership experience within planning, supply chain, operations, or analytics functions.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, capacity planning methodologies, and supply chain processes.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including complex formulas, pivot tables, Power Query, and large dataset analysis.
  • Experience developing business intelligence dashboards and reporting solutions.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional planning processes and influence business decisions.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. 7730, et seq.) and/or the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Authorizations from the relevant government agency may be required to meet export control compliance requirements

Preferred

Master's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Analytics, Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience in leading Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), SIOP, or Integrated Business Planning (IBP) processes.
  • Advanced experience with Power BI, SAP, OMP, Oracle, or other enterprise planning systems.
  • Experience developing forecasting models, statistical analysis tools, or predictive analytics solutions.
  • Knowledge of inventory optimization, production scheduling, and supply chain network planning.
  • Experience supporting multi-site manufacturing operations.
  • Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, APICS, CPIM, CSCP, or related certifications.
  • Proven experience implementing analytics platforms, process automation, or planning system improvements.
