Full Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY:

The Mgr - Studio manages small to medium size studio resources and develops then maintains the operational systems, infrastructure, and workflow processes required to ensure profitability, efficiency, and productivity in providing clients with quality services and products in content production and delivery. This role collaborates with Creative and Account counterparts to develop project plans, project schedules, project budgets, and assigns team members to projects based on resource capacity and project requirements.

This is a hybrid role in Grand Rapids, MI

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Accountable for all projects within a location and driving continuous improvement throughout the studio.
  • Develops & maintains effective client relationships to align with client business imperatives, adherence to MSA & SOW terms, and ensures processes & resources continue to deliver world-class solutions to client needs.
  • Ensures high quality standards in all client deliverables.
  • Develops and implements workflow management and reporting tools focusing on quality, profitability, efficiency, and productivity.
  • With Producers, manages external vendor and talent relationships and agreements.
  • Maintains a deep understanding of the experience, talent, and capabilities of each artist and production resource and leverages this understanding to assign the best resources to every project.
  • Manages and/or oversees internal and/or external Creative & Production Team(s) to meet or exceed client needs, ensuring deliverables are aligned with creative brief and executed within scope, budget, timeline, quality and other Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Creates strong and effective internal partnerships with other SGK teams to ensure friction-free delivery of assets from the capture through post-production as needed.
  • Supports Account Management to ensure open and transparent relationships with the clients.
  • Ensures daily workload targets are achieved and arranges additional input daily if necessary to ensure on time delivery.
  • Monitors, measures and reports on operational issues, opportunities and development plans and achievements within agreed formats and timescales. Manages and controls departmental expenditure within agreed budgets.
  • Plans, directs, and coordinates activities of employee(s) to ensure goals or objectives are accomplished. Mentors, coaches, trains and develops team.
  • Additional duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in photography, management, communication, or related field
  • Advanced degree (MBA, Master's) preferred
  • 6+ years of previous agency content production experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Occasional travel either locally, nationally, and/or internationally may be required.
  • High degree of proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, capture integration software, MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications.
  • Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning).
  • Solid understanding and application of mathematical concepts.
  • Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients.
  • Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
  • Ability to work with and influence peers and management.
  • Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting.
  • Possess an established network of artists relating to photo and video content production
  • Working knowledge or understanding of Agile content production

This is a hybrid role in Grand Rapids, MI

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $80,000 - $90,000 USD annually. Ultimately, in determining pay, we will consider the successful candidate's location, experience, and other job-related factors.
