Position Summary

Manager, Office Operations is responsible for the strategic and daily management of Sony Pictures Studios' office portfolio of space that includes production offices, term deal offices, and editorial cutting rooms. This role partners closely with Studio leadership to maximize space utilization, support production needs, oversee financial administration, and ensure exceptional service for internal and third-party clients.

Working independently while collaborating with the Executive Director and SVP this role develops occupancy strategies, prepares budgets and forecasts, manages client relationships to cultivate business, and coordinates office-related capital improvements and operational processes across multiple Studio departments. This position requires strong leadership, sound business judgment, and the ability to build trusted relationships across a broad range of stakeholders while supporting the day-to-day needs of studio productions.

Key Responsibilities

Portfolio & Client Management
  • Manage the Studio's office portfolio, including production offices, term deal offices, and editorial cutting rooms.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for office tenants throughout the occupancy lifecycle, including space planning, walk-throughs, move-ins, relocations, tenancy requests, furniture coordination, security access, billing, and move-outs.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal business units, including MPG, SPT and Post Production, as well as third-party production clients
  • Anticipate client needs, resolve issues proactively, and provide excellent customer service while balancing studio priorities and operational requirements
  • Maintain accurate occupancy records, floor plans, and portfolio reporting while ensuring office spaces remain production-ready and meet studio standards.


Strategic Planning & Financial Management
  • Evaluate incoming productions and term deals to recommend space placements.
  • Partner with the Executive Director to develop short- and long-term occupancy strategies that maximize utilization of the Studio's office portfolio.
  • Responsible for annual budgets, monthly forecasts, flash reports, occupancy projections, reconciliations, and financial analyses with guidance and oversight from the Executive Director.
  • Exhibit thorough knowledge and accurate execution of all weekly office billing, financial reconciliations, and reporting


Operations & Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Coordinate and manage tenant improvements, capital improvement projects, maintenance, repairs, and reconfigurations in collaborations with Senior Coordinator, Facilities Building Managers, Design Services.
  • Collaborate with the Department Administrator to coordinate office relocations, account setup, licensing documentation, insurance requirements, billing support, and tenant communications.
  • Work closely with Facilities, Finance, Security, IT, Business Affairs, Production, and other Studio departments on timely execution of projects and client requests.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency, portfolio management, and the client experience.
  • Backup for other production services team members as required when short staffed or during busy times.
  • Department needs may change and role is pivotal to physical studio management and may be asked to step in as needed/directed.


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 8-10 years of progressively responsible experience in studio operations, production, production or facility services, thorough understanding of production needs is preferred.
  • Experience managing complex client relationships, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and office portfolio operations within a studio or production environment.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of studio production operations and office portfolio management.
  • Strong financial, analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and relationship management abilities.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Sony enterprise systems, including ShowMgr, SAP, Archibus, Ariba, or similar business applications is preferred.


The anticipated base salary for this position is $93,271 to $121,253. This role may also qualify for annual incentive and/or comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
