We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven
Manager of Strategic Programs, Academic Health, to join our growing team. This role will play a critical part in expanding Monarch's footprint within key academic medical centers across the U.S. by driving deeper penetration into existing programs and positioning the company for future innovation adoption and report into the Director of Marketing.
As the
Manager of Strategic Programs, Academic Health, you will collaborate with stakeholders at top-tier academic institutions to drive incremental system sales, enhance utilization, and prepare the market for upcoming product innovations. The role involves cross-functional collaboration with US Marketing, Field Sales, HEMA, Finance, Health Care Compliance and more. This role is integral to our strategy of establishing Monarch as the preferred robotic-assisted bronchoscopy platform for leading academic programs.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute strategies to expand Monarch's presence within targeted academic medical centers to drive deeper selling into existing programs, focusing on system utilization, incremental system sales, and multi-department engagement.
- Partner with the Director of US Marketing, Director of Strategic Accounts, Director of Sales, and other cross functional partners, to create and implement tailored account strategies for key academic centers, building and maintaining strong relationships with high-level decision-makers, clinical champions, and key stakeholders.
- Collaboration across teams working closely with field sales teams, marketing, AHS Ethicon Marketing, and clinical support to align efforts and maximize impact within academic accounts and partnering with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of initiatives and support for academic centers.
- Act as a key liaison to prepare academic accounts for the introduction of new technologies and innovations in the Monarch portfolio and ensure early adoption and strategic alignment with upcoming product launches.
- Provide accurate forecasting and regular updates on account performance, opportunities, and challenges and meet or exceed sales targets, utilization goals, and account penetration objectives.
- Lead KOL management and HQ customer visits
- Position Monarch as a leader in robotic-assisted bronchoscopy through active participation in academic conferences, thought leadership forums, and partnership initiatives.
QualificationsEducation:
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree in business, healthcare, or related field preferred.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in medical device sales, healthcare capital equipment, or strategic account management.
- Proven track record of driving growth within large, complex academic or IDN accounts.
- Experience working in a highly matrixed environment and influencing across multiple cross-functional stakeholder groups with an enterprise mindset
- Self-starter with a growth mindset and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Exceptional relationship-building and influencing skills, particularly with high-level stakeholders in academic medical centers.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to navigate complex sales processes in healthcare.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and strategic planning skills.
Other:
- This role may require up to 50% travel domestically
- The anticipated base salary range for this role is $102,000 to $177,100
- For candidates based out of the Bay Area, CA the anticipated base salary range is $118,000 to $203,550
