Manager, Strategic Media (Brand and Content)

The Policy, Public and Legal Affairs Branch is looking for a Manager, Strategic Media for an indeterminate position.

JOB OVERVIEW
Join the NCC's Communications and Engagement Division and help bring the organization's story to life. As Manager, Strategic Media, you will lead content, brand, and marketing communications initiatives that inspire audiences, strengthen the NCC's reputation, and connect Canadians with the organization's work, places, and programs. Through creative storytelling and strategic communications, you will help ensure the NCC's voice is engaging, consistent, and aligned with corporate priorities.

As part of the division's leadership team, you will lead integrated marketing communications campaigns, oversee the NCC's content strategy across digital channels, and provide strategic advice to internal clients and senior management. Working collaboratively across the organization, you will drive audience-focused communications, use insights and performance data to enhance results, and lead a talented team in delivering impactful content and brand experiences.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
A degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with specialization in Communications or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

EXPERIENCE
Five (5) to eight (8) years of experience in communications and/or marketing, including:
• Managing communication projects, including planning, coordinating, and delivering communications and marketing initiatives.
• Providing strategic and high-level advice to executives and management on communication frameworks and products.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams, interested parties, and external partners to achieve common goals and objectives in digital communications.

KNOWLEDGE
• Of communications and marketing theories, principles, practices and delivery mechanisms.
• Of communications policies and standards.
• Of emerging trends and best practices in communications and digital marketing.
• Of project management principles.

ABILITIES
• Ability to manage projects.
• Ability to identify challenges and develop creative solutions.
• Ability to provide strategic advice, convey ideas, instructions, and feedback clearly and effectively to team members, interested parties and senior management.
