We are looking for a Manager, Strategic Initiatives for Technology Strategy and Transformation Office organization

What you will do

Your role will focus on four aspects: 1) leadership support, 2) executive and quarterly reporting, 3) technology strategy, governance and planning, and 4) strategic initiatives and special requests from the CIO and senior Technology leaders. The role will work across Technology, and business to improve leadership effectiveness, decision-making, accountability and execution of enterprise priorities.

Key roles and responsibilities -
  • Act as a trusted partner to the CIO and senior Technology leaders by anticipating needs, aligning stakeholders, and supporting leadership priorities
  • Support the leadership forums, including agendas, pre-reads, briefing materials, decisions, action tracking and follow-up for executive forums
  • Maintain an integrated view of leadership priorities, commitments, risks, dependencies and emerging issues, and escalate items requiring attention
  • Support leadership communications, town halls, offsites and employee engagement activities, ensuring clear and consistent messaging
  • Lead confidential, time-sensitive and ad hoc requests on behalf of the CIO and Technology leadership team
  • Develop clear, concise and decision-ready materials for the Board, senior executives, quarterly business reviews, leadership councils and regulatory discussions
  • Deliver strategic initiatives end to end, including discovery, scoping, planning, governance, stakeholder alignment and execution oversight
  • Own and improve governance processes, reporting, operating cadences and escalation paths for strategic priorities and initiatives
  • Conduct research and benchmarking on industry trends, emerging technology, AI and peer practices, and translate findings into leadership insights
  • Coach and support team members while strengthening executive storytelling, analytical and project delivery capabilities


What you will bring

  • 5-7+ years of experience in technology strategy, management consulting, executive reporting, governance, transformation delivery role
  • 5+ years of previous experience in operating within unstructured and ambiguous environments and Global matrix settings
  • Experience supporting senior executives and leading complex initiatives in a global or matrixed organization
  • Strong judgement, discretion and executive presence, with the ability to manage sensitive and ambiguous matters
  • Excellent executive communication, storytelling and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex information
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and project management capabilities
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders, build trusted relationships and drive decisions and actions to closure
  • Insurance and Financial Industry business and technology acumen, with an understanding of technology performance, portfolio, financial and risk information
  • Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel; experience with data, automation or AI tools is an asset
  • University degree in Business, Technology, or a related discipline. PMP or an equivalent certification is preferred
  • Well-developed organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and tight timelines


The base salary for this position is between $102,000 - $152,000 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).
