Manager, Sourcing & Production

Sourcing & Production | Summit, NJ (Hybrid)

Boll & Branch is looking for a Manager, Sourcing & Production to join our team and play a central role in bringing our premium home textile products to market. You will own end-to-end sourcing and production execution across our ethical and sustainable supply chain, actively building and managing vendor relationships from initial identification and onboarding through PO issuance and on-time delivery, while maintaining the cost discipline and quality standards the brand is known for.

The ideal candidate has deep, hands-on knowledge of how home textile products are made and the cross-functional fluency to translate production realities into business context for partners across QA/Compliance, Merchandising, Planning, Finance, Product Development, and Design. As a growing company, this role offers meaningful visibility across leadership, including direct exposure to our SVP of Product Creation and our Founder and Chief Product Officer. Our ideal candidate is highly organized, self-motivated, and detail-oriented, with a genuine interest in how exceptional products get made.

This position reports to the Director of Sourcing & Production.

What You'll Do

Production Execution
  • Own all production milestones from PO issuance through on-time delivery, managing open order flow against allocation and capacity plans
  • Maintain PO accuracy and system data integrity across NetSuite and PLM with the same rigor applied to factory relationships
  • Aggregate and analyze high volumes of production data including on-time delivery performance, FOB costs and contributing cost breakdown, and overall cost complexion to surface insights and support business decisions
  • Monitor in-season delivery performance, flag disruptions early, and suggest a path forward

Factory Partnerships
  • Build and maintain strong, working partnerships with manufacturing partners across multiple time zones
  • Communicate directly with factory partners to surface risk early, escalate appropriately, and drive resolution
  • Track factory partners' performance against agreed timelines and quality standards, and address gaps through credible, consistent engagement

Sourcing & Costing
  • Actively manage counter-sourcing and country of origin diversification initiatives, from initial factory outreach through production completion
  • Contribute to cost management, including tracking FOB and landed costs, flagging variances, and supporting cost optimization conversations

Cross-Functional Partnership
  • Partner with Product Development, Design, Merchandising, Planning, Logistics, QA/Compliance, and Finance across the full product lifecycle, from initial concept to product launch
  • Bring business context to production decisions, thinking upstream about how delays, quality issues, or cost changes affect the broader team, and driving toward resolution rather than just escalation
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives with a focus on communication, visibility, and decision-making quality

What You Bring
  • 5+ years of production and sourcing experience in home textiles, apparel, or soft goods; home textiles strongly preferred; a background in apparel or other soft goods with transferable knowledge will be considered
  • Hands-on technical knowledge of fabric, construction, and manufacturing processes; you can speak credibly on product details with factory partners
  • Experience with PLM and ERP systems (NetSuite experience a plus); well-versed in using Excel and data tracking
  • Proactive, collaborative communicator who surfaces risks early, you communicate honestly and transparently with factory partners and internal teams, even when the news is difficult
  • You build trust through reliability and consistent follow-through, and works fluidly across functions and levels
  • Strong operational instincts; highly organized and systems-oriented, comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • You stay curious when priorities or timelines shift - reassessing quickly, trying new tools or approaches, and keeping production moving forward rather than waiting to be told what's next
  • A genuine interest in product and how it's made; you care about materials, construction, and the ethical and sustainable standards that define the Boll & Branch supply chain
  • Comfortable using AI tools to strengthen analysis, anticipate questions, and catch issues before they surface; you view AI as a way to raise the quality of your work
  • Willingness to travel internationally to visit factory partners as needed
