What You Will Do

Participate in the execution and continuous enhancement of the Company's social responsibility strategy and community development programs. Develop and implement sustainable community initiatives at the corporate, regional, and site levels that support business objectives, mitigate social risks, and maintain the Company's social license to operate. Manage critical operational programs, including social investment, stakeholder engagement, local contributions, capacity building, program evaluation, communications, and cross-functional coordination. Monitor, assess, and respond to emerging social issues, impacts, and risks that may affect business operations and community relationships.

• Lead stakeholder engagement strategies that address community priorities, social risks, and opportunities while supporting the Company's social license to operate.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with community leaders, organizations, and key stakeholders, including those who influence operational success.
• Manage engagement on sensitive issues such as tailings management, remediation activities, permitting, closure, and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee the Stakeholder Engagement team, monitor stakeholder sentiment and risk profiles, and ensure effective relationship management and coordination.
• Develop stakeholder communications, respond to community inquiries and concerns, manage grievance processes, and use community research to strengthen engagement strategies.
• Provide strategic guidance to site and corporate leadership, ensure compliance with reporting and assurance requirements, and continuously improve engagement practices to build trust and transparency.
• Lead community investment programs, funding initiatives, and Community Investment Funds while ensuring accountability, sustainability, and measurable outcomes.
• Collaborate with community organizations and stakeholders to identify investment priorities that support sustainable development, address site-specific risks, and create long-term community benefits.
• Implement the Company's social performance management system, coordinate cross-functional efforts to address social impacts and risks, oversee social performance programs, budgets, contracts, and service providers, and promote employee involvement in community initiatives that strengthen community relationships and social responsibility commitments.
• Perform other duties as required.

What You Bring To Freeport

• Master's degree in Community/ Sustainable Development, Business Administration/ Economics, International Relations, or other social or environmental sciences and SEVEN (7) years direct experience in one or more of the fields listed above, and THREE (3) years of lead or supervisory experience OR
• Bachelor's degree in Community or Public Relations, Social Work, Sociology / Social Science, Environmental Science, Sustainable (or Economic) Development, Marketing, Business or related field and NINE (9) years direct experience in one or more of the fields listed above, and THREE (3) years lead or supervisory experience OR
• Associate's degree in Community or Public Relations, Social Work, Sociology / Social Science, Environmental Science, Sustainable (or Economic) Development, Marketing, Business or related field and ELEVEN (11) years direct experience in one or more of the fields listed above, AND THREE (3) years lead or supervisory experience OR
• High School Diploma or GED and THIRTEEN (13) years direct experience in one or more of the fields listed above, AND THREE (3) years lead or supervisory experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Direct experience with stakeholder engagement and risk management.

What We Offer You

The estimated annual pay range for this role is currently $112,000-$160,000. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional incentive compensation considerations based on company and individual performance. Additionally, this position is currently eligible for annual long-term incentive consideration. Long-term incentives are contingent upon authorized approval under the terms and conditions of the Company's plan and award agreements. More details will be shared during the hiring process.
