What is the opportunity?
RBC Cards is Canada's leading credit card business and a significant driver of RBC's financial performance. In this role, you will support the strategy, execution, and delivery of our Small Business Credit Card portfolio, leveraging data and strategic insights to drive sustainable growth. You will develop and maintain our operating results cadence, helping to exceed business drivers and deliver against annual profitability objectives.

From day one, you will have the opportunity to make an immediate impact by solving complex business challenges and translating data into actionable strategies that drive growth and shareholder value. You will work collaboratively with leaders across the organization, earning trust as a strategic partner who executes time-sensitive initiatives with precision and delivers results across all channels. This role offers exceptional exposure to RBC's core business while building your expertise in a dynamic, high-performing environment.

What will you do?
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive reports and dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs) for small business credit cards
  • Develop relationships and act as a key liaison to data partners, including connecting insights across different data sources and teams
  • Support the operational reporting cadence, including Monthly Business Reviews (MBRs), Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), and other executive presentations
  • Monitor and analyze competitor activities and market trends to identify opportunities and risks
  • Analyze product performance, customer segmentation, and usage patterns to drive product optimization
  • Develop standardized tools and frameworks to accelerate business case development, and provide direct support to product and portfolio leaders in evaluating growth opportunities and other portfolio-impacting initiative
  • Leverage cutting edge Business Intelligence technologies and data tools
  • Work through various parts of the data life cycle (i.e. Build data pipelines, feature engineering, data deep dives etc.)
  • Present data-driven recommendations to stakeholders while continuously enhancing your communication and presentation skills


What do you need to succeed?

Must Have:
  • Undergraduate university degree in Business, Finance, Math, Economics, Engineering or other related fields
  • Strong problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to influence decisions
  • Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Excel)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work and coordinate effectively within a team environment
  • Growth mindset with curiosity and capacity to learn quickly


Nice to have:
  • Knowledge of financial services products, particularly credit cards
  • Experience with SQL , Teradata or other programming languages for data manipulation and analysis
