PURPOSE The Senior Manager of Information Technology provides operational leadership for the Associations Information Technology (IT) services and technology governance, including cybersecurity oversight and support coordination for OT systems. This role ensures the secure, reliable, and efficient operation of enterprise technology systems and infrastructure while partnering with the Chief Information Officer (CIO) to execute technology strategy and support organizational objectives.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION 1. Oversee the day-to-day operations of IT services and coordinate enterprise technology support, governance, and cybersecurity activities related to OT systems to ensure system availability, reliability, resiliency, and performance.
2. Direct and support supervisors responsible for infrastructure, service desk, GIS, and applications to ensure coordinated and effective service delivery.
3. Responsible for approving employee training, hiring, promotion, discipline, termination, etc. Responsible for establishing goals, monitoring performance, and developing employees.
4. Establish performance expectations, monitor results, and drive accountability across IT functional areas.
5. Establish, monitor, and report on service performance metrics, operational health, and technology service levels.
6. Manage the operation, maintenance, support, and lifecycle management of enterprise technology infrastructure, including servers, networks, endpoints, enterprise applications, and technology platforms supporting OT environments.
7. Promote standardization, integration, and interoperability across enterprise and operational technology platforms.
8. Ensure effective delivery, support, integration, and cybersecurity alignment of core business systems such as iVue, GIS, HR, Smart Grid technologies, SCADA systems, Distributed Control Systems (DCS), and other technology platforms.
9. Implement and enforce technology and cybersecurity policies, standards, architectures, and controls while managing operational, cybersecurity, and compliance risks across IT and OT environments.
10. Coordinate with operational personnel to ensure OT systems align with enterprise cybersecurity standards, technology architecture, support practices, and strategy established by the CIO.
11. Manage incident response, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning and execution.
12. Manage execution of enterprise technology strategy, modernization initiatives, and organizational priorities by leading projects, system implementations, integrations, and process improvements.
13. Collaborate with stakeholders to evaluate business needs and develop effective business, operational, process, and technology solutions.
14. Assist in developing and managing the IT budget, including monitoring expenditures and resource utilization.
15. Manage vendor relationships, service providers, and technology contracts within delegated authority.
16. Lead, mentor, and develop supervisors and staff while promoting accountability, workforce development, and continuous improvement within the IT division.
17. Promote a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and customer service within the IT division.
18. Evaluate and recommend technology improvements and innovations in alignment with CIO strategy.
19. Participate as a member of the Associations Emergency Response Team and perform all responsibilities in support of the Associations emergency operations readiness.

ESSENTIAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS Manager of Information Technology Qualified candidates are required to have:
- A Bachelors degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
- A minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in information technology, including at least two (2) years in a supervisory role.
- Strong business acumen related to the support and integration of information and communication systems.
- Ability to obtain and maintain appropriate U.S. Government security clearances.
Preference for candidates with electric utility experience.
Preferred fields of study include Business Systems, Computer Science, Systems Analysis, Industrial Engineering, Information Management, Business Administration, or related disciplines.
Senior Manager of Information Technology Qualified candidates are required to have:
- A Bachelors degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
- A minimum of ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience in information technology, including at least five (5) years in a leadership role overseeing IT systems and operations.
- Demonstrated experience leading through supervisors and managing multi-functional IT teams.
- Strong business acumen related to the support and integration of information and communication systems.
- Ability to obtain and maintain appropriate U.S. Government security clearances.
Preference for candidates with electric utility experience.
Preferred fields of study include Business Systems, Computer Science, Systems Analysis, Industrial Engineering, Information Management, Business Administration, or related disciplines.
A Masters degree is desirable.

EMPLOYMENT STATUS This position is classified as an exempt, non-represented position; and therefore, is not eligible for overtime compensation. All Association employees are expected to work widely varying amounts of time outside the normal shifts to assist in power restoration of other needs of the Association.
