Full Job Description
Your Role Warner Bros. Discovery is looking for a Manager, Security for our western region. This position will be responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of effective security policies and procedures to safeguard our assets and personnel, while also ensuring that all security personnel are properly trained and equipped to carry out their duties. Working in conjunction with the Warner Bros Discovery Global Security (WBDGS) senior management, the manager will be responsible for overseeing a team of security personnel and working collaboratively with other departments to ensure seamless operations throughout the organization. Your Role Accountabilities • Assist the Director of the Western Region & Canada by providing both security administrative and operational support with regards to operational security matters for company facilities within the region. • Facilitate communications with security staff that entails active listening, addressing any inquiries, and offering guidance where necessary, while fostering a sense of trust and transparency between employees and the management staff. • Collaborate with the Vice President and Director to develop strategies and response techniques that can be implemented in emergency situations, across the full range of possible emergency scenarios. • Interact with Labor Relations, People and Culture and any other WBD representatives as needed, to manage personnel issues that may arise in relation to security operations. • Ensure adherence to all established policies and procedures relating to security operations in the Western Region & Canada. • Work collaboratively with the Vice President and Director to develop and maintain programs designed to conduct awareness and/or security briefings, keeping employees informed and educated on matters of security. • Execute any other duties as assigned or required, to support WBD Global Security and ensure effective security operations in the Western Region & Canada. Experience & Qualifications • Applicants are required to possess a 5+ years of progressive administrative or managerial experience in a public service agency or security environment, such as law enforcement, security, fire, or any combination thereof Applicants must hold an Associate or Bachelor of Science degree or 5+ years of working experience in a law enforcement or security environment. • The following certifications are preferred, POST Certification, BSIS Certification & Physical Security Professional PSP - (ASIS certification) In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery's total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $70,000.00 - $130,000.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
