  • Perform technical accounting research; prepare position papers on complex topics (e.g., business combinations, segment reporting); and conduct detailed analysis and review of key accounting items such as cash flow statements and diluted EPS.
  • Identify and evaluate upcoming accounting pronouncements, lead implementation of new standards, and clearly communicate findings to management, business partners, and auditors.
  • Coordinate the review process with internal stakeholders, legal counsel, and external auditors.
  • Oversee and mentor accounting team members, providing coaching, goal setting, performance feedback, and career development.

Corporate Accounting & Adhoc Projects

  • Assist with monthly/quarterly close activities, including reviewing journal entries and reconciliations related to stock-based compensation.

  • Ensure robust documentation of accounting policies, procedures, and controls to meet SOX and audit requirements.
  • Support special projects and ad hoc analysis, including M&A integration.
What it takes to succeed:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA required.
  • 6–10 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a public company SEC reporting role or with a Big 4 public accounting firm.
  • Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC rules; experience with Workiva is preferred.
  • Proven ability to drive process improvement and leverage automation tools or AI within accounting or finance functions; experience with Oracle is a plus.
  • Strong skills in developing, maintaining, and improving accounting documentation and policy materials.
  • Detail-oriented and process-minded, with strong analytical skills to break down complex problems and implement scalable solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner across multidisciplinary teams and varying levels of staff to deliver results.
  • Effective at delegating, mentoring, and supporting a team-oriented culture focused on process excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Self-starter who thrives with minimal direction in a fast-paced, changing environment and embraces new technology and innovation.
