Essential Job Functions:
• Solicits new accounts to meet and exceed revenue goals through telephone prospecting, outside sales calls, site inspections and written communication
• Treats guests with a sense of caring and individuality while effectively identifying their specific needs
• Informs supervisor of guest needs which may require special accommodations
• Showing special recognition of frequent guests
• Maximize revenue by selling all facets of the hotel to previous, current and potential clients; including room rental, A/V and other revenue generating opportunities
• Experience selling to a variety of market segments; including, but not limited to weddings, corporate, social events and trade shows
• Consistently welcoming guests, thanking them for their patronage, seeking ways to make them comfortable and expressing your desire to have them return, building a track record of long term client relationships
• Up sell menus and communicate with the chefs and managers to review menus and special requests
• Responsible for all event related payments including credit card and cash
transactions
• Communicates efforts and bookings with the management teams as to not double book
• Work closely with Banquet Manager and F&B department on operations and event execution, ability to quickly evaluate alternatives and decide on a plan of action
• Present a neat, clean, well-groomed appearance at all times
• Maintaining constant awareness of services, promotions, and events offered at the facility and informs guests
• Cooperating and communicating with fellow team members in all departments and always striving for mutual respect and a feeling of camaraderie

• Assists guests with explaining and redeeming promotional offers when appropriate
• Research and understand demand generators, new sources of business, internet as a prospecting tool, community involvement and networking to establish and grow business
• Strong knowledge of the local market and similar facilities in the region
• Builds relationships with regional and local meeting and event planners to garner consideration for events
• Maintains the master calendar for event functions in all spaces of the casino
• Leads in planning and communicating sales event information to external
departments ensuring that each affected department is aware of and planning for events appropriately
• Communicates group information to external departments, ensuring that each affected department is aware of and planning for events appropriately
• Attends events and maintains customer relations during the event to ensure
satisfaction and flawless execution
• Takes all steps necessary to ensure the financial and reputational success of all sales events
• Represent the company in a professional capacity at external functions, special events, concerts, promotions, etc.
• Ensures flawless internal control and regulatory compliance leading to perfect internal and external department audits
• Performing other duties as requested or assigned
Qualifications:
• College degree or other work or educational equivalent required
• Working knowledge of CRM and function room diary diagramming such as: Delphi, Sales Force or similar event space booking management system
• Working knowledge of Point of Sales systems, specifically Micros
• 3-5 years of relevant experience working in Manager Sales and above roles within the casino industry
• Knowledge of food and beverage, meeting room setup/seating styles, basic
audio-visual equipment offerings and contract elements
• Knowledge of sales techniques, including closing and negotiating skills
• Knowledge of market trends, competition and key hotel customers within the
Region
• Proficient in the full suite of Microsoft Office products and Google
• Outstanding organization skills are a must, as is the ability to actively manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
