Job Summary

FreeWheel is seeking a Sales Marketing Manager to lead rep-facing commercial marketing for Strata, FreeWheel’s agency workflow and media planning/buying platform that unifies cross-channel campaigns, operations, and financials in one system. This role partners with Product Marketing to shape the Strata story for different client segments—building tactical tools, sales narratives, and campaigns that help reps open doors, win RFPs, and close deals across local, regional, and political agency accounts.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on marketer and trusted partner to sales who can turn product capabilities, market needs, and competitive dynamics into sharp positioning, practical sales tools, and repeatable plays that drive pipeline and revenue.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Own the Strata sales story

  • Define and refine Strata’s value proposition and messaging for agencies, clearly differentiating it from incumbent buying and workflow platforms.
  • Build concise talk tracks and objection-handling frameworks for everyday sales conversations.
  • Arm reps with high-impact sales tools

  • Develop and maintain Strata pitch decks, one-pagers, product sheets, playbooks, and vertical narratives (e.g., local agencies, broadcast groups, political shops).
  • Create competitive battlecards, case studies, and ROI proof points tailored to common agency use cases.
  • Package repeatable sales plays (target lists, messages, assets, email sequences) that reps can run each quarter.
  • Drive day-to-day sales enablement

  • Partner with Sales leadership to identify gaps in the field and rapidly produce content for specific deals, segments, and objections.
  • Lead Strata sales trainings to ensure reps are confident in positioning, demos, and pricing conversations.
  • Keep Strata materials current, organized, and easy to access; own the central library of rep-facing content.
  • Activate campaigns and GTM programs

  • Collaborate on targeted campaigns (email, events, webinars, roadshows) that generate qualified opportunities for Strata.
  • Build rep toolkits for product launches, feature rollouts, and industry moments (e.g., upfronts, election cycles), including talk tracks, outreach templates, and follow-up materials.
  • Turn insights into actionable content

  • Work with Sales and Product Marketing to surface data, use cases, and customer stories that prove Strata’s impact on efficiency and revenue.
  • Translate complex topics—cross-screen workflow, advanced reporting—into simple, agency-friendly language and visuals.
  • Partner across the organization

  • Collaborate with Product Marketing, Product, Sales, and broader Marketing to ensure consistent Strata messaging internally and externally.
  • Serve as the primary sales marketing point of contact for Strata Sales leadership, aligning on quarterly priorities, targets, and enablement needs.

Qualifications (Required)

  • 5+ years of experience in B2B marketing, sales marketing, or sales enablement in media, advertising, or ad tech.
  • Strong understanding of agency workflows, media planning and buying, and local/political advertising dynamics.
  • Proven track record creating rep-facing sales tools (pitch decks, one-pagers, battlecards, playbooks) that drive pipeline and deal conversion.
  • Experience translating complex product and industry topics into simple, actionable narratives for sales teams and agency buyers.
  • Comfort partnering directly with Sales leadership and reps, with a bias toward fast, practical outputs over theory.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; confident presenter in trainings and internal enablement sessions.
