We're looking for a Manager, Revenue Accounting who can own this critical function-ensuring revenue is recognized accurately, reported transparently, and scaled efficiently as we grow.
What You'll be buildingRevenue Operations & Execution
- Lead end-to-end revenue accounting operations for licensing, collaboration, and revenue-generating agreements across the organization
- Translate contract terms into scalable operational workflows: billing triggers, milestone recognition, deliverable tracking, and cash application
- Ensure revenue is recorded with technical accuracy and consistency against established accounting policies
- Serve as the operational expert for ASC 606 application, bridging technical accounting conclusions with day-to-day execution
Contract Analysis & Translation
- Review and interpret revenue agreements, identifying key accounting drivers and operational requirements
- Work closely with legal, business development, and finance to flag ambiguities or risks in contracts that could complicate revenue recognition
- Create clear, organized contract summaries and accounting treatment matrices to guide operational teams
Financial Close & Reporting
- Own monthly and quarterly revenue close activities, including supporting schedules, journal entries, and reconciliations
- Maintain comprehensive revenue tracking documentation and ensure audit-ready records
- Partner with FP&A and external auditors on revenue reporting and attestation
Billing Operations & Partner Reporting
- Manage invoicing workflows, milestone billing, cost-sharing arrangements, and variable revenue components
- Oversee cash application, customer reconciliations, and partner billing inquiries
- Ensure all reporting to partners is timely, accurate, and contractually compliant
Process Design & Systems Optimization
- Design and refine scalable processes as we grow and take on more complex revenue arrangements
- Partner with IT and finance systems teams to operationalize revenue workflows in NetSuite (or equivalent ERP)
- Build templates, tracking tools, and documentation systems to reduce manual effort and operational risk
Cross-Functional Partnership
- Work closely with legal, finance, business development, FP&A, and scientific teams to align contract terms with execution
- Proactively identify and solve revenue operational challenges before they impact reporting
What You'll Need to Succeed- 4-7+ years of accounting experience with meaningful exposure to revenue recognition and ASC 606
- Strong working knowledge of ASC 606; demonstrated ability to apply it to complex, real-world revenue arrangements
- Proven experience operationalizing revenue processes: billing, revenue tracking, reconciliations, and close activities
- Ability to read, interpret, and translate contracts into clear accounting and operational workflows
- Exceptional attention to detail, organizational discipline, and ability to manage multiple complex agreements simultaneously
- Strong communication skills and demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with diverse stakeholders
Bonus Points For- Experience in biotech, life sciences, or deep tech environments
- Hands-on experience with licensing agreements, collaboration agreements, milestone-based revenue, or cost-sharing arrangements
- Experience with NetSuite or comparable ERP systems
- CPA or candidate

Expected Base Salary Range
$126,000-$186,000 USD
