Full Job Description
Manager, Retail Inventory Operations, to support optimal product availability and operational efficiency within the US and Canada retail store fleet. This role leads the strategy, execution, and continuous improvement of all in-store inventory management (inbound/outbound logistics) and serves as the primary business owner for the in-store technology roadmap and our point-of-sale system. The ultimate goal is to minimize inventory loss (shrink) while equipping store teams with the best possible processes and technology to deliver a world-class customer experience. You will report to the Senior Director, Retail Enablement & Operations and lead a small team.

Responsibilities
  • Design, document, and oversee all in-store logistics processes, including receiving, unpacking, sorting, processing returns, managing store-to-store transfers, and preparing outbound shipments.
  • Implement and monitor strategies to maximize on-floor in-stocks and overall product availability, leveraging RFID tools.
  • Establish mandatory training and compliance standards to maintain high levels of physical inventory accuracy across the sales floor, back-of-house, and staging areas.
  • Serve as the operational liaison with the Transportation and Supply Chain teams to ensure optimal delivery cadence, receiving windows, and carrier performance align with store operational capacity.
  • Lead omni-channel capability management and execution, ensuring seamless customer experiences across fulfillment services including Buy Online, Pick Up In Store (BOPIS), Ship From Store, and other emerging omni-channel offerings.
  • Develop and lead the strategy to reduce operational and administrative shrink, working closely with Loss Prevention and Finance teams to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Design and execute internal inventory audit programs to proactively identify and address risks to inventory integrity before they result in loss.
  • Partner directly with Digital and Technology teams to manage the in-store technology roadmap, prioritizing projects that deliver the greatest impact on efficiency and customer experience.
  • Oversee the lifecycle management, replacement, procurement, and deployment of all in-store hardware, including POS systems, handheld scanners, mobile devices, and related networking equipment.
  • Act as the voice of the store associate and the consumer to influence system design and technology choices, ensuring new tools are intuitive, reliable, and directly solve store operational needs.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of two Inventory and Technology Operations Specialists, ensuring clear goals, continuous performance feedback, and opportunities for growth.
  • Collaborate with Retail Training to ensure all new inventory processes and technology rollouts are accompanied by high-quality training materials and successful change management strategies.
  • Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with senior leaders and peers across Retail Operations, IT, Finance, and Supply Chain to ensure organizational alignment on inventory and technology goals.


Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in workforce management, retail operations analytics, labor planning, or related analytical roles
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, data modeling, strong analytical skills, financial acumen, knowledge of retail stores and service models
  • Ability to present to executive leadership, ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and ability to influence cross-functional teams and partners to drive projects forward deliver on objectives
  • Strong collaboration skills and experience working with diverse cross-functional partners, including field teams, Finance, IT, and Product teams
  • Working knowledge of retail processes and service models, with the ability to identify opportunities to improve operating routines
  • Experience leading direct reports or project teams, with the ability to coach, prioritize work, and drive execution through others

The expected starting salary range for this role is $101,300 - $165,000. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range based on the location of the role. The amount a particular employee will earn within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, performance and business needs.
