Responsibilities

POSITION SUMMARY: The primary function of the Respiratory Therapy Manager is planning, organizing, developing, and directing the day-to-day functions of the Respiratory Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards as well as guidelines and regulations that govern the Community. The Respiratory Manager will collaborate with the Corporate Director of Respiratory, CNO, ACNO, Administrator, and the Medical Director to ensure the highest degree of quality of care is always maintained for our patients. Oversee compliance of ABG and PFT lab.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Five years in critical care Respiratory Therapy experience required, one year must be in a lead or supervisory role.

2. Must have the ability to communicate with all levels of healthcare professionals.

3. Must have demonstrated good leadership skills with a commitment and adherence to STHS's Compliance Program, and Code of Conduct, and Service Excellence.

4. Adhere to all policies and procedures. Clinical experience and theoretical/technical competence in all specialized areas serviced by the Cardiopulmonary Department

EDUCATION / LICENSURE:
• Associate's degree graduate for an accredited in Respiratory Care program. Bachelor's degree preferred.
• License Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) by the Texas Medical Board. Registered Respiratory Therapist by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) required.
• Must have current Healthcare providers BLS obtain ACLS, PALS and NRP within 90 days of hire date and current thereafter. Certification must be in accordance with the curriculum of AHA for Healthcare Provider's Program.
