DescriptionThe Manager will lead and direct a team of HMCs (Hub Maintenance Coordinators) at each HUB location to ensure the primary Tech Ops (Reliability, OTS, Safety, Execution, and Fuel Efficiency) are met. This position is an essential component of Aircraft Maintenance's mission to deliver safe and reliable aircraft with efficiency and on time excellence.
The Manager will lead the team to ensure there are reduced delay's and cancellation's in volume, but also the duration reduction of a delay that do take place and produce a significant cost savings. The Manager leads the team in providing a significant and tangible improvement in communication flow with all departments at the applicable HUB and Willis Tower (NOC/TOMC).
The Manager will lead the HMCs acting as focal for Tech Ops at HUB locations so the flow of information increases, and needed decisions are made in a more linear and focused manner. To ensure sustainability and realize the stated efficiencies and dollar savings, the program will include performance tracking and measurement by each HMC HUB Manager and his/her applicable HUB Senior leadership team.
- Ensure HMC team is trained and efficient in all manner of daily duties
- Initiate and update TOCS (Technical Operations Computer System) and AMIS logs on all aircraft that are out of service, in a planned hold, or have significant maintenance activities on- going
- Build and maintain a positive working relationship with all SOC stakeholders
- Notify and communicate the status of aircraft that are out of service or on a maintenance delay to Maintenance Control and local operations
- Measure performance of HMC team on a daily basis with emphasis on delay/cancel performance and STAR and OTS goal achievement
- Ensure delay reports are entered and compile delay data for tracking and analysis
- Lead and ensure compliance with the following HMC Activities
- Coordinate and track planned maintenance efforts for thru flights
QualificationsWhat's needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):- Bachelor's degree or 4 years of relevant work experience
- A&P License required
- 5 years' experience in a leadership role
- 5 years' airline experience with a background in maintenance
- Advanced communication skills to communicate with multiple levels including flight crew and maintenance
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
- Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
- Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
