GENERAL OVERVIEW:
This job functions as administrative liaison between staff, patients, physicians, families, other hospital departments, and outside agencies.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Facilitates the patient flow process while ensuring quality patient care in a cost effective manner. (25%)
- Assists in human resource activities such as interviews, evaluations, disciplines. (10%)
- Directs patient care activities including quality/performance initiatives and proper staff assignments. (25%)
- Performs the job duties of the staff RN. (20%)
- Establishes, monitors and adheres to annual operating budget. (10%)
- Maintains consistent readiness and ensures department compliance for regulatory agencies. (10%)
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum
- Current State of PA RN licensure OR Current multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing or relevant experience and/or education as determined by the company in lieu of bachelor's degree.
- 2 years medical/surgical nursing experience
- 5 years critical care nursing experience
- CPR - American Heart Association
- Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
- Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate
- Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
Preferred
- Certified Radiology Nurse
- Radiology experience
- Management experience
