Description

Rochester Electronics, LLC seeks a Manager, Quality Systems to work in Newburyport, Massachusetts. The Manager, Quality Systems, will oversee all quality programs within Rochester Electronics ensuring efficiency, accuracy and standardization. Responsible for ensuring quality of outgoing product from either distribution or manufacturing operation including making sure that the processes and systems are in place to support quality functions for both internal and external operations as well as systems to support customer quality questions. Salary $179,171 - 180,000 / Year. Will perform the following duties:
• Oversee and set direction for the quality systems, inspection, engineering, and supplier programs;
• Supervise staff, respond to subordinate requests, manage timecards, and resolve personnel issues through coaching, counseling, and initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures;
• Interview, select, onboard, train, develop, and mentor employees for, including, but not limited to, technical skill;
• Develop action plans to maintain and improve product quality and customer satisfaction through computerized systems;
• Monitor production processes, ensuring that quality standards are being met;
• Oversee supplier investigations, and monitor supplier performance to Company standards;
• Use statistical process controls to gather and report data that affects decision making;
• Make regular contact with customers to keep abreast of quality issues and to resolve quality problems;
• Initiate investigations of quality concerns, determining corrective actions and implementing those actions;
• Recommend, interpret, and enforce quality policies and practices;
• Plan, organize, and allocate the resources to meet department and company goals for sustainable quality systems;
• Management and hands on involvement of the following systems: ISO9000, IATF16949, MIL-PRF-38535; and AS9100 system;
• Monitor the customer return program and RMA process;
• Manage the Technical Review Board (TRB), Qualification Review Board (QRB), and provide QCI engineering support and Disposition;
• Recommend training for REI employees on quality issues as needed;
• Supervise a team of Quality professionals including engineers, specialists, and technicians; and
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Quality Management, Industrial Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering, or other related field or an equivalent foreign degree;
• 10 years of experience in quality management;
• At least 5 years of prior supervisory experience;
• Proven track record of being a quality leader in their organization.
• Experience working with semiconductors and in semiconductor manufacturing operations.
• Working knowledge of industry standard quality related business processes.
• Experience with various industry standard quality system tools including SPC, LEAN and 6 Sigma tools.
• Experience in quality system auditing, internally and externally.
• Must have working knowledge of various quality systems and standards: ISO9000, IATF16949, AS9100, and JEDEC.
• Strong computer skills.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
