Quality Control Department
Outline of Duties:
Manages and ensures the development of supplied parts and SIA manufacturing processes, as well as the overall quality of completed vehicles meet the necessary requirements.
Oversees, directs, and supports section staffing, including hourly and salaried positions. Responsibilities include:
Manufacturing and inspection requirements
Drawing review
Development targets
Design department communication
Supplier part development
Ensure completed vehicles meet form, fit, and function standards
Lead vehicle audits
Closure of all quality problems prior to SOP
Ensure compliance with all SIA policies and procedures.
Responsible for development of Section strategies and targets to support all initiatives.
Support and drive quality improvement initiatives throughout the plant.
Develop and manage section Capital, Expense, and Labor budgets.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, related field, or equivalent combination of relevant experience and education
Five years of relevant experience
Project management experience
Ability to attend evening meetings with Japanese counterparts on a weekly basis
Ability to travel foreign and domestic for extended periods
Strong written, verbal, and computer skills required
