ASPIRUS ST. LUKE'S in Duluth, MN is seeking a MANAGER- QUALITY AND PATIENT SAFETY to join our QUALITY MANAGEMENT team!

Salary Range: $46.41 - $74.27 Hourly
Schedule/Hours: DAY ONLY, 8 hours
Weekend Requirement: Generally No Weekends
FTE: FULL TIME, 1.0 FTE or 80 Hours Biweekly

As a member of the leadership team, leads a multidisciplinary quality program (including clinical quality and patient safety, infection prevention and control, performance improvement, and regulatory compliance) in alignment with system and business unit(s) priorities. Promotes an environment where all staff can flourish through professional development, improvement in workflow and workload, optimization of talent and resources, implementation and validation of best practices, consistent and clear communication including closed loop feedback, real time coaching, support of high reliability methods and tools, and creating opportunities for staff to have a voice in decisions that impact practices. Represents the quality function and perspective through involvement within business unit and system initiatives and committees.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Education: Bachelor's degree in health information management, health care administration, nursing, or a related field.
• Experience: Five (5) years of experience in a healthcare setting. Three (3) years leadership/ supervisory experience.
• License/Certification/Registration: N/A

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Education: Master's degree in nursing, healthcare administration, business administration or similar.
• Experience: Direct experience in a health care quality position.
• Licensure/Certification/Registration: Registered Records Administrator, Registered Nurse, Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), OR Certified Professional in Health Care Quality (CPHQ).

Knowledge of quality improvement principles, tools, techniques and methods, statistics, data analysis, computer applications and medical/legal issues. Knowledge of the principles and methods of supervision and management. Ability to plan budget, organize, implement and evaluate departmental activities and responsibilities. Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing; to establish and maintain good working relationships; to exercise good judgment and accept personal responsibilities.

• READING - Advanced: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquires or complaints.

Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw or interpret bar graphs to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
