Full Job Description
As the Manager, PWM Fixed Income you will be a central part of our PWM Capital Markets team within Private Wealth Management. You will play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing fixed income investment strategies for high-net-worth individuals and institutional clients. You will leverage your expertise to provide strategic guidance, enhance portfolio performance, and ensure alignment with clients' financial goals. This role requires a deep understanding of fixed income markets, strong analytical skills, and the ability to communicate complex investment concepts effectively. This person will be a go-to point of contact for clients and internal team members. This individual may also manage a small team of Fixed Income professionals.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Manage the implementation of fixed income investment strategies. Provide expert and informed recommendations based on sector expertise.
  • Manage the analysis of macroeconomic factors, interest rate trends, and credit conditions to inform strategy. Provide recommendations to senior members of the team and cascase updates to ensure the full team is informed.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients by providing insightful analysis and recommendations on fixed income investments. Ensure frequent portfolio reviews are completed. Adjust strategies as necessary and communicate to those impacted.
  • Lead portfolio construction efforts to assess securities selection through individual and industry sector weights, market capitalization mix, and overall risk/return profile. Rebalance portfolios based on index and model changes. Ensure that portfolio construction is aligned with asset allocation guidelines and other firm standards.
  • Perform in-depth research on fixed income securities, including government bonds, corporate bonds, municipal bonds, and other debt instruments. Evaluate credit risk, interest rate risk, and market trends.
  • Provide fixed income portfolio management expertise while participating in investment strategy and client meetings, sales and marketing efforts and the resolution of escalated client and operational issues. Share portfolio management perspective in special initiatives to improve technology, processes, performance and efficiency.
  • Work closely with other members of the PWM Capital Markets team to deliver cohesive and comprehensive investment solutions.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports, investment proposals, and performance reviews to clients. Ensure clear and effective communication of investment strategies and outcomes.
  • Maintain current knowledge of developments in fixed income markets, including economic indicators, regulatory changes, and industry trends. Use this information to adjust investment strategies proactively. Communicate market changes and trends to the broader team.
  • Ensure all investment activities comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies. Implement risk management practices to protect client portfolios from undue risk.
  • May manage a small team of Fixed Income professionals.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members. Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the Consulting Services team.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and effectively to clients and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong client relationships, with a keen understanding of clients' needs and objectives.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and contribute to the overall success of the Consulting Services team.
  • Excellent sales and presentation skills.
  • Ability to lead a team and foster professional growth and development.
  • Strong municipal experience and skills.


A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range at time of posting is below. Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits. Actual base salary within the specified range is based on several factors, including but not limited to applicant's skills, prior relevant experience, specific degrees and certifications, job responsibilities, market considerations and, if applicable, the location of the position.

This role is eligible for either a discretionary annual bonus (based on company, business unit and individual performance) and/or commission-based incentives.

$165,300-$209,000 USD
