Job description
Join our first-class team to reinvent in-flight experience. In the role of Manager, Purchasing Program you'll play a pivotal part on our Purchasing team. Supports strategic purchasing and sourcing teams in identifying cost reduction opportunities and achieving cost-saving goals through design-to-cost initiatives or by developing negotiation strategies with departments to drive successful cost reduction projects. Monitors the bill of materials by program and serves as the focal point for NPI and coordinating activities related to program development. This role serves as a critical liaison between key departments, focusing on cost reduction strategies and program development coordination.
This position contributes to our vision by:
• Establish commercial conditions for quotes, supporting new production requirements, engineering changes, and program needs.
• Investigate root causes of supply chain disruptions (e.g., delivery delays, quality defects) and implement corrective actions, including renegotiating supplier contracts or reallocating resources across program
• Drive the process to introduce Design-to-Cost (DTC) initiatives and cost-saving ideas.
• Monitor and develop pricing strategies by conducting independent evaluations of competitor pricing, raw material fluctuations, and geopolitical factors to adjust strategies main programs within Safran Cabin.
• Secure prices in alignment with business plans and budgets.
• Coordinate with Program and Purchasing teams to develop successful plans for new versions (HOV), forecasts, risks, and opportunities.
• Support strategic purchasing and sourcing teams in identifying cost reduction opportunities.
• Monitor bill of materials by program and serve as the focal point for New Part Introduction (NPI).
• Communicate directly with Program Directors, coordinating new client information and retrofit requests.
• Implement advanced data analytics, including analyzing market trends, forecasting supply/demand imbalances, and interpreting client quotation patters to continuously improve procurement strategies and increase cost saving
• Possess in-depth knowledge of sales processes, customer requirements, and market dynamics.
• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of supply chain operations by independently analyzing sourcing alternatives, optimizing procurement processes, and designing logistics protocols.
• Strategically align sales objectives with operational requirements by analyzing customer demand trends, interpreting complex sales requirements, and designing customized supply chain protocols to optimize inventory allocation and mitigate fulfillment risks.
• Facilitate clear communication between sales and supply chain teams to ensure alignment on project goals and timelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Cabin TA:

• Management roles may be eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.
The expected salary range for this position is between $98,320 - $154,500 USD. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, education, and other factors permitted by law.
Candidate skills & requirements
Qualifications:
Computer Skills:.
• Strong demonstrated use of Windows Operating System.
• Thorough understanding/use of Microsoft Office products including: Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Advanced knowledge/use of Microsoft Excel. Familiarity with M3, A-Priori systems
Other Skills:
• Strong data analytics skills, as well as an understanding of cost management, forecasting, and financial reporting
• Ability to work well independently and cross-functionally
• Strong communication, time-management, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to motivate team efforts to accomplish goals
