Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Manager, Project Management Level 2, to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals to lead program integration on a restricted development contract. This position will be located in Melbourne, FL.

  • The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, and collaboration across all levels. This role is a vital member of the leadership team, which by nature of the position involves high-level contacts and exposure to sensitive programs, new business, personnel, and technical information necessitating considerable use of tact, diplomacy, discretion, and judgment.
  • This role will lead a team of program integrators, both directly and indirectly, to drive horizontal and vertical integration across multiple IPTs to ensure the health of our program, people, processes and tools.
  • This role requires expertise in all core competencies of program management to include strategic reporting, risk management, change management, and Earned Value. Working closely with the program director, this candidate will coordinate with multiple stakeholders to refine requirements, establish cost, schedule, and technical objectives, and ensure staffing and scheduling forecasts are feasible. They will also be responsible for preparing briefing material for both customers and leadership and ensuring seamless integration with other teams to achieve program objectives.
  • The successful candidate will display exceptional situational awareness, an aptitude for strategic thinking, the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, and be able to operate effectively in dynamic and time sensitive situations.


This role is in person supporting 9/80 work schedule at our Melbourne, FL site and requires an active or in scope security clearance to start.

Please note that this opportunity is contingent on attaining program access. Start dates are determined after clearance confirmation.

Responsibilities:
  • Support program reporting in weekly reviews and heading checks to keep all affected parties informed of progress, changes and issues
  • Work closely with program leadership to ensure on-time delivery
  • Integrate cost, schedule, and technical requirements and identify risks and opportunities throughout execution
  • Ensure alignment with Program Execution and Integration directives
  • Lead Risk and Opportunity Integration across the portfolio
  • Provide upwards reporting for senior management program reviews
  • Support proposal activities for multiple contracts
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives and the change management process

    Basic Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree and 8 years of related experience, OR a master's degree and 6 years of related experience. Related experience includes professional and/or military experience to include a background in project management, program management, engineering, capture efforts, and/or business management related functions.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment
  • Experience in Earned Value Management, which includes program cost and schedule management
  • Experience in Risk and Opportunity Management
  • Must have experience using Microsoft Office products (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project)
  • Active in scope US Government Secret Clearance and the ability to attain Special Program Access within a reasonable amount of time deemed by business needs

  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills to ensure changes to plans are fully understood


Primary Level Salary Range: $115,000.00 - $172,400.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
