Manager, Program & Events plays a vital role within the Advisor Channel Sales (ACS) Events team, driving the strategic planning, execution, and continuous improvement of high-impact events and programs across RBC Global Asset Management (GAM) channels. You will be responsible for leading complex event initiatives, ensuring regulatory compliance, and working directly with key stakeholders to deliver engaging in-person, virtual, and hybrid events.
This position reports directly to the Associate Director, Program & Events and works collaboratively with a team consisting of Managers, Program & Events, an Associate, Program & Events and an Analyst, Sales Enablement.
IMPORTANT - a cover letter is required with your resumeWhat will you do? - Lead the strategic planning, execution, and reconciliation of internal and external events, dealer-sponsored conferences, and virtual webinars, ensuring compliance with all Sales Practices & Processes. Planning and execution includes but is not limited to: sourcing, contracting, budgeting, marketing, stakeholder engagement, vendor coordination, registration, and on-site delivery.
- Build and manage critical paths and workback schedules, proactively identifying risks and implementing solutions to ensure timely delivery.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the ACS Leadership Team, internal stakeholders, and external clients, representing the team with professionalism and strategic insight.
- Manage event budgets, including development, ongoing monitoring, recommendations for cost optimization, and post-event reconciliation.
- Lead vendor relationship management, fostering collaborative partnerships while ensuring effective execution of deliverables.
- Leverage internal resources and tools (AI) to identify operational efficiencies and enhance event delivery.
- Provide on-site leadership for event execution, managing logistics and resolving issues proactively.
What do you need to succeed? Must Have- Minimum 5 years of experience in corporate meeting planning / event management disciplines including project management, preferably in the financial industry.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint), CRM (Salesforce), virtual conferencing platforms (Webex), and event management platforms (Stova).
- Demonstrated experience in managing multiple stakeholder relationships and complex projects simultaneously.
- Experience working with audio-visual providers on in-person, hybrid, and virtual events.
- Strong time management skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work outside of regular business hours and the ability to travel internationally, as needed (
- The successful candidate leads with professionalism, takes strong ownership, and builds collaborative partnerships.
Nice to Have- Bilingual, English & French.
- Knowledge of the wealth management business and National Instrument 81-105.
- Interested in pursuing event planning designations (CMP, CMM, DES, CED).

Pay RangeThe expected pay range for this position is:
$67,000.00 - $110,000.00
