Full Job Description
Work you'll do
As a Manager, Project and Program Management on the Human Capital Major Programs & Project Management (MPPM) team, you will be responsible for leading complex transformation initiatives, directing project delivery across agile and traditional environments, and driving execution for large-scale client programs.
  • Manage day-to-day interactions with executive clients, stakeholders, and sponsors.
  • Lead engagement planning, budgeting, staffing, and delivery team mobilization across complex projects.
  • Define project approach, deliverable structure, and work plans; facilitate leadership alignment on proposed solutions.
  • Oversee project scope, schedule, costs, risks, assumptions, and constraints, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Lead proposal support, coach team members, and provide guidance on staffing, development, and project management practices.

The team
The Human Capital practice helps organizations improve business performance through their people, supporting issues that matter across the C-suite and enterprise.

Within that practice, the Human Capital Major Programs & Project Management (MPPM) team helps clients manage large-scale transformation efforts with structured delivery, operational rigor, and sustained support.

The team also works with clients to maintain and extend the value of Human Capital technology investments through integrated services and ongoing portfolio evolution.

Qualifications
Required:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of management consulting or industry experience
  • 5+ years planning and managing project initiatives in a Project Management Office or similar team environment
  • 5+ years of experience using project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, or Jira
  • 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager managing large, complex projects with multi-functional teams
  • Ability to travel 0-50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
Preferred:
  • Master's degree
  • 5+ years of experience supporting program and project management activities and project oversight
  • 5+ years of experience in Human Capital software development life cycle environments using agile and traditional project management methods
  • Experience managing onshore, offshore, and remote teams
  • Experience with system development life cycle methodologies in the Human Capital space
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $128,000 to $252,500.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
