About this job:

Leads the district wide execution of a cohesive, high quality professional learning strategy aligned to the District's strategic priorities and instructional framework. Drives cross-departmental collaboration to ensure alignment, consistency, and integration of professional learning standards, systems, and evaluation practices. Oversees the design and delivery of resources, training, and supports for professional learning facilitators to eliminate silos and ensure a unified, high-impact experience for educators. Guides continuous improvement through the evaluation of professional learning effectiveness and its impact on educator practice. Additionally, manages the implementation of district-wide professional learning systems, including large-scale learning events and the Professional Development Unit (PDU) system as outlined in the agreement with the Denver Classroom Teachers Association (DCTA).

What You\'ll Do:
• Provides strategic leadership and oversees the daily implementation of the district's professional learning strategy, shaping a comprehensive adult learning framework grounded in inclusive, culturally responsive, and equitable practices that support long term instructional goals
• Partners with school and Central Office leaders to align department specific training efforts with district wide professional learning frameworks, ensuring coherence and consistency. Evaluates cross functional initiatives to eliminate siloed approaches and replace one size fits all models with aligned, standards based practices
• Leads and develops a high-performing team to support cross departmental professional learning design, ensuring consistently high quality learning experiences for teachers, leaders, and central staff. Builds the capacity of subject matter experts to design and deliver impactful, standards aligned training
• Directs the planning and execution of large scale, district wide professional learning events and shared learning experiences. Collaborates with district leadership to establish a unified vision and provides oversight for event design, logistics, and on site implementation
• Oversees the continuous improvement, scaling, and governance of key professional learning systems, including the Professional Development Unit (PDU) system established through the agreement with the Denver Classroom Teachers Association (DCTA), as well as online and blended learning structures to expand access to high quality training
• Designs and implements robust systems to evaluate the effectiveness and impact of professional learning. Analyzes data and stakeholder feedback to assess changes in educator practice and student outcomes, using insights to inform continuous improvement and long term strategy
• Other duties as assigned

What You\'ll Need:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Education Leadership, Organizational Development, or related field
  • Master's Degree preferred
  • 5+ years of directly related experience is required, including demonstrated expertise in adult learning theory, professional development delivery systems, and systemic implementation at a large scale
  • 3+ years of experience working within a school district or other education organization preferred
  • 3+ years of team management experience
  • Valid driver's license, appropriate insurance coverage, and an acceptable driving record for the past three years
  • Lead for racial and educational excellence and work to dismantle systems of oppression and inequity in our community, along with believing in and supporting all students so they feel seen and heard with access to high quality education.
  • Live and work with a permanent home address in Colorado while working with us.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Deep understanding of adult learning theory, inclusive facilitation standards, and culturally and linguistically responsive education (CRSE) practices
  • Knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and district policies, explicitly including a working knowledge of contractually bargained union agreements (DCTA) regarding professional development
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace, enterprise Learning Management Systems (LMS) and online registration/tracking programs
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with the proven ability to effectively motivate, influence, and lead a high-performing team
  • Strong facilitation and communication skills, including the ability to build capacity and work collaboratively with individuals at all different levels in the organization (school-based and central office)
  • Highly engaged and proactive self-starter who can anticipate department needs and dismantle operational silos to solve complex organizational challenges
  • Ability to develop, plan, and implement short- and long-range goals, establish enterprise-wide priorities, and organize resources
  • Exceptional organizational skills and strong attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and juggle the management of several high-priority projects in parallel
  • High degree of integrity and professionalism in handling confidential information and navigating ambiguity
  • Ability to deeply analyze and interpret complex data to drive process/program improvements, inform strategy, and effectively communicate findings through professional reports and executive-level correspondences
