Job Description:

Role Definition

We are looking for an organized self-starter to join our team as a 2nd shift Production Manager for Heat Treat and Bevel Gears at building KK, in East Peoria, IL. As a production manager, you will be leading a group of machine operators to drive improvement in a very dynamic and exciting work environment. You will have up to 25+ direct report team members.

What you will do
  • Monitor and improve shop floor safety, aggressively eliminating unsafe processes
  • Assures fixtures, tooling and processes are followed to meet production schedules
  • Determines priorities and sequences jobs
  • Schedules and prioritizes constrained resources, and adjusts staff to meet flow and customer requirements
  • Determines and executes disciplinary action when appropriate
  • Ensures production material is procured and distributed to meet production schedules
  • Increases production efficiency through continuous improvement and waste elimination utilizing LEAN principles
  • Ensures preventive maintenance is performed according to schedule
  • Implements, Lean Manufacturing, 6 Sigma, Internal Certification, and others
  • Evaluates, assess, identifies, and leads the deployment of workforce training
  • Actively deploys value stream improvements
  • Practices and teaches CPS Guiding Principles
  • Initiates and conducts process improvement dialogs with Team Leads and Team Members
  • Drives root cause corrective action projects and continuous improvement
  • Leads section status reporting and monitors / audits section metrics
  • Leads the creation, implementation, and training of standard work procedures


Degree Requirement
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience desired.

Additional Information
  • This position will close at 11:59 p.m. on 07/10/2026.
  • This position will be located onsite 5 days a week in East Peoria, IL (Building KK) working 2nd shift(2:30PM to 10:30PM).
  • This position requires flexibility to work overtime, including daily and weekend hours, as needed to support production schedules, customer commitments, and business requirements.
  • Relocation assistance is NOT available for this position.

  • This position may require less than 10% travel

Summary Pay Range:

$89,210.00 - $133,810.00
