What You'll Get to Do

Are you a hands-on engineering leader who thrives on coaching teams, solving complex product challenges, and driving continuous improvement? We're looking for a Product Development Manager to lead a talented team of Associate Designers and Product Integration Specialists, helping us deliver market-leading fenestration products across North America.

This is an opportunity to blend technical expertise with people leadership, influencing product strategy, mentoring rising engineering talent, and representing OBE's voice within the broader building products industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and Develop Talent: Manage and motivate the Product Development Associate Designer and Product Integration Specialist team, coaching them toward strong performance and growth. Oversee the Engineering Change process and coordinate outside resources for technical writing and design support.
  • Drive Strategy: Partner with leadership and internal customers to keep products aligned with market demand, evolving codes and standards, and cost efficiency.
  • Monitor and Improve: Track responsiveness, accuracy, and quality of engineering changes, using data to measure and elevate internal customer satisfaction.
  • Champion Value Engineering: Lead continuous improvement initiatives that meet annual cost-savings and product enhancement goals, while building internal reference tools to boost team efficiency.
  • Represent OBE Industry-Wide: Engage in industry associations, track code and architectural trends, and bring insights back to leadership on opportunities and risks.

What You Bring
  • A bachelor's degree in engineering, or equivalent hands-on experience in fenestration products, we value demonstrated expertise as much as formal credentials.
  • 6+ years of experience in design, engineering, or application of commercial fenestration products.
  • 4+ years of experience managing teams in engineering or a related field.
  • A coaching mindset, strong data-driven decision-making, and excellent relationship-building skills across technical and business stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 20% to support teams, customers, and industry engagement.


Position Pay Range

$117,000-$125,000 USD
