About the RoleThe Supply Chain Manager, Procurement & Sourcing owns end-to-end procurement operations and product sourcing engineering, leading a team of Buyers, Sourcing Engineers, and Subcontract Managers. This role is the central point of contact for all supply chain needs across Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Program Management, and Facilities. You will develop and execute sourcing strategies that ensure supply continuity, cost optimization, and quality while enabling the business to scale. Through supplier negotiations, cradle-to-grave order management, and data-driven performance management, you will directly support both engineering development programs and production planning requirements in alignment with strategic sourcing initiatives.
What You'll DoTeam Leadership & Development- Lead and develop a team of supply chain professionals including Buyers, Sourcing Engineers, and Subcontract Managers.
- Provide hands-on training, coaching, and mentorship to build team capability and expertise.
- Hire world-class talent to support the rapid expansion of the team.
- Drive organizational consistency and expectations through key performance indicators (KPIs).
Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Management- Develop and implement supply chain strategies aligned with business goals, targeting supply continuity, quality, efficiency, and cost optimization at scale.
- Negotiate complex commercial terms and Master Supply Agreements (MSAs) to establish best-in-class pricing, quality, flexibility, delivery, payment, warranty, and service terms.
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships; analyze supplier data and identify opportunities to expand or consolidate the Approved Supplier List (ASL).
- Proactively identify and mitigate potential supply chain risks, including disruptions and changes in market conditions.
Cross-Functional Execution- Lead cross-functional projects to achieve cost, quality, and delivery targets in partnership with Engineering, Program Management, Finance, and Manufacturing.
- Support engineering and manufacturing requirements and program timelines for development and production products.
- Collaborate with supply chain experts across the company to develop and execute supply chain best practices.
- Identify and execute cost reduction projects and process improvements to enhance efficiency and overall supply chain performance.
Operations & Compliance- Own procurement process cradle-to-grave: purchase order placement, supplier management, and resolution of downstream issues with receiving, finance, and accounting.
- Maintain procurement-related master data in the ERP system and support required annual audits.
- Monitor KPIs, analyze data, and provide regular reports to leadership on supply chain performance.
Basic Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Finance, or related field.
- 5+ years of supply chain experience in progressive roles within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, with a focus on complex mechanical and/or electrical assembly.
- 2+ years of experience in a leadership or managerial position.
- Experience with technical procurement, including the ability to read drawings and blueprints.
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Familiarity with leading ERP systems.
- Ability to travel up to 20%.
- Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. TS security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications- MBA or Master's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or related technical field.
- Previous experience in defense, aerospace, automotive, high tech, or another related industry.
- Exceptional analytical and organizational skills.
- Proven leadership in driving and influencing large teams toward common goals.
- Strong team player who can adapt to different roles to support team progress, including individual contributor tasks while managing a team.
US Salary Range
$113,000-$149,000 USD
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
