ABOUT THE ROLE

As the Manager, Procurement - Portfolio & Mold Management, you will be part of the Rigid Plastics Procurement team, leading the Global Mold Management team and serving as the global portfolio lead for Home Resins and other resin categories that represent an annual spend of up to USD 240 million.

You will develop global sourcing strategies, build strategic supplier partnerships, and deliver results across cost, cash, resiliency, innovation, sustainability, and supply continuity within a technically and commercially complex portfolio. You will also provide global governance for SC Johnson's mold assets, lead a regional Mold Management team across North America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa (EMEA), Latin America (LATAM), and Asia Pacific (APAC), and serve as the business project leader for the implementation and ongoing governance of COAST, partnering with key cross-functional stakeholders to ensure successful adoption and long-term governance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Resin Portfolio Management
  • Own and lead the global Home Resins and other assigned resin categories, representing an annual spend of up to USD 240 million
  • Develop and execute global, regional, and local Category and sourcing strategies aligned with SCJ business, cost, cash, resiliency, innovation, and sustainability goals
  • Maintain a strong understanding of resin markets, supply-and-demand conditions, commodity and feedstock trends, supplier capabilities, and regional risks
  • Lead supplier identification, evaluation, selection, negotiations, contracting, and ongoing performance management
  • Develop strategic supplier relationships that provide competitive cost, reliable supply, preferred access to capacity and innovation, and improved speed to market
  • Lead business reviews with strategic suppliers and align priorities and actions with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Deliver committed cost savings, working-capital improvements, risk mitigation, and other value-creation objectives
  • Develop resin inflation forecasts for business planning and provide timely reporting of savings, cash improvements, market developments, and risks
  • Partner with Engineering, Operations, Planning, Finance, Sustainability, Quality, and regional Procurement teams to support innovation, specification optimization, complexity reduction, new-product launches, and long-term business growth
  • Evaluate global and regional upstream resin sourcing opportunities, including direct and hybrid purchasing models versus converter-managed procurement. Develop business cases assessing total cost, buying leverage, pricing transparency, working capital, operational requirements, and supply-continuity risks while leveraging SCJ global supplier relationships

Global Mold Management
  • Lead and develop the regional Mold Management team across North America, EMEA/LATAM, and APAC, setting priorities, responsibilities, and annual work plans
  • Provide global governance for SC Johnson's blow-mold and injection-mold assets, ensuring consistent lifecycle management processes across regions and suppliers
  • Ensure mold assets are accurately recorded and monitored for location, ownership, condition, capacity, maintenance, financial status, and remaining useful life
  • Lead mold condition reporting and develop action plans for assets requiring maintenance, refurbishment, repair, replacement, or additional capacity
  • Develop maintenance plans with supplier support and ensure required asset information is entered accurately and on time
  • Lead mold capacity and demand analysis to support Operations, Planning, business continuity, service, and future innovation requirements
  • Lead the annual Global Mold Budget process, coordinating approximately USD 10 million in global capital requirements and managing approximately USD 4 million in annual maintenance spending for existing molds
  • Partner with Finance, Engineering, Operations, Procurement, and regional leadership to prioritize investments and ensure mold requirements are included in capital budgets and regional financial plans
  • Lead or coordinate Major Expenditure Authorization (MEA) and financial approvals for mold repairs, refurbishments, replacements, duplications, and capacity investments
  • Support the Rigid Plastics Portfolio team during sourcing events by providing mold condition, lifecycle, capacity, investment, and risk information. Converter-led mold-maker selection will be managed through the RFP and technical-development process
  • Lead COAST implementation initiative - digitalization of mold lifecycle management from current eFAT system

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE YOU'LL BRING
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related discipline is required
  • 7-10 years of experience in one or more of the following areas: Procurement Portfolio Management, Category Management, Procurement Operations, or other Supply Chain functions, preferably with regional responsibility
  • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship

PREFERRED EXPERIENCES AND SKILLS

  • Experience with procurement disciplines including market analysis, negotiations, clean-sheet analysis, sourcing strategy execution, and project management
  • Experience in the plastics industry and operational procurement is preferred
  • Knowledge of industry, economic, and cost factors that influence mold pricing is preferred
