Summary Responsible for category management to develop and execute global sourcing strategies. This position will be an active driver and contributor of productivity, working capital improvement, and general business initiatives supporting sourced finished goods across multiple brands in the Beverage Appliance category. This position will be a key stakeholder representing all aspects of procurement for sourced finished goods to cross-functional team members, including R&D, Quality, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance. The position will partner with a regional sourcing execution team to manage activities locally with suppliers.
ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute procurement strategies for sourced finished good categories that encompass the following:
- Productivity: Develop and implement a pipeline of opportunities to ensure delivery of annual gross productivity targets.
- Negotiations and market events: Lead and execute direct negotiations and market events to validate best total cost levels and support the procurement strategy.
- Working capital improvements: Implement continuous improvement in supplier payment terms, lead time, and inventory reductions.
- Sustainability: Coordinate activities to support Newell sustainability and responsible procurement compliance initiatives related to sourced finished goods.
Responsible for commercial activities with designated suppliers, including:
- Contract management and negotiations
- Supplier performance management
- RFX development and deployment
- Regulatory and social compliance
- Project management
- Supplier and commodity spend management and productivity tracking
- Sourcing process improvement initiatives as assigned

Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- 4+ years of applicable experience, including extensive knowledge of procurement.
- Experience in procurement of consumer products desired.
- Excellent negotiation and project leadership skills.
- Demonstrated track record of delivering productivity and other measurable results within spend categories.
- Global sourced finished good sourcing experience in consumer products or commodities preferred.
- Understanding of global commodity trends and market influences.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
- Highly motivated and able to drive results independently and as part of a team.
- Two or more years of SAP software experience preferred.
- Ability to travel internationally.
