What you'll do...
Event Manager - Programs & Events
Position Summary
The Event Manager is responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of enterprise programs, training initiatives, leadership events, and large-scale organizational experiences in both virtual and in-person environments. This role drives end-to-end event delivery, stakeholder alignment, participant engagement, operational execution, and continuous program improvement while ensuring a high-quality attendee experience. This position is not a remote position. Expected to be in office 100% of the time. Successful candidate must live in or around Bentonville, AR.
Key Responsibilities
Program Ownership & Execution Leadership
  • Own and lead the planning and execution of training programs, onboarding experiences, and leadership events in both virtual and in-person formats.
  • Manage annual program calendars, event timelines, milestones, and execution plans.
  • Oversee participant management activities including outreach, invitations, registration campaigns and attendance tracking.
  • Ensure all event offerings are accurately created, maintained, and communicated.

Large-Scale Event Management
  • Lead high-visibility events of 15 to 1200 attendees including but not limited to the below programs:
    • Director Onboarding
    • Manager Summit
    • BU Roadshows
    • Tech Appreciation Events
    • Stakeholder Events
    • Office Hours
  • Drive end-to-end event execution including agenda development, communications, logistics coordination, and on-site delivery.
  • Ensure seamless attendee experiences and operational excellence throughout all phases of event management.

Stakeholder & Program Management
  • Partner with leadership teams to align program objectives, messaging, deliverables, and desired outcomes.
  • Manage communications, registration processes, and participant engagement strategies.
  • Lead project planning meetings, milestone tracking, and execution updates.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with internal teams including recruiting, enterprise teams, technology, workplace hospitality, catering, program owners, and academy partners.
  • Coordinate with external vendors, hotels, catering partners, speakers, and event suppliers to ensure successful delivery.

Financial & Risk Management
  • Manage event and program budgets while tracking expenses and forecasting costs.
  • Identify risks, resolve issues proactively, and escalate concerns when necessary.
  • Negotiate vendor pricing, venue contracts, and hotel room blocks to maximize value and efficiency.

Team Leadership
  • Coach Event Planners, providing guidance on priorities, workload management, and execution standards.
  • Promote consistent event execution processes and high-quality attendee experiences across all programs and events.

Continuous Improvement
  • Review event feedback, attendee surveys, and performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Partner with senior leadership on event strategy, planning enhancements, and operational efficiencies.
  • Implement process improvements to elevate future program and event execution.

Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in event management, program management, corporate events, or related experience.
  • Strong leadership and team development capabilities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate across cross-functional teams.
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Teams, and event management platforms.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale, high-visibility events and leadership programs.
  • Strong project management, organizational, and multitasking skills.
  • Experience managing budgets, vendors, contracts, and event logistics.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Preferred Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Business Administration, Communications, Hospitality, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in event management, program management, corporate events, or related experience.

Travel & Schedule Expectations
  • Ability to travel as needed to support on-site event execution and leadership programs.
  • Flexibility to support events outside standard business hours when required.


The annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00 - $155,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
