Job Summary:
MaineGeneral Health is presently seeking a manager to join out Plant Operations team.

The Alfond Center for Health is a new, state of the art space that would get any plant operations professional excited about their day to day work. In addition to being less than 10 years old, the medical center features current building management systems with automatic redundancies ensuring continuity of service to patients and staff.

This positon oversees plant operations for 30 locations with over 1.5 million square feet of space in the Kennebec Valley. If you enjoy variety in your work in which no two days are alike, this position will cover medical practices and business office space in addition to our medical centers, affording a great opportunity to collaborate with staff and stakeholders across the healthcare system.

The department prides itself on being stable with low turnover. The leadership team is supportive and will provide you with the resources you need to be successful and contribute to excellent patient experience while providing the best possible customer service.

The ideal candidate will have:
CHFM (Certified Healthcare Facility Manager) certification preferred.
5-7 years of experience in Facilities Engineering or Plant Operations.
Engineering Degree a plus but not required.

Job Description:

Assists with developing specific departmental goals, standards, and objectives which directly support the

strategic plan and vision of the organization.

Manages staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction and conflict management.

Performs and oversees scheduling, recruitment, and payroll.

Monitors departmental budgets, regulatory compliance, departmental contracts and vendor relations.

Determines and justifies needs for systems/equipment/supplies purchases, monitors usage, and oversees

proper working order and/or stock supplies.

Manages special projects and business analysis as requested.

Maintains plant operations documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory bodies.

The salary range shown reflects the base salary for this position. Individual compensation is determined based on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills, and market considerations.
