Responsibilities & Requirements

Plant Engineering Manager manages the department including planning, organizing, directing and controlling facility management functions of the medical center. Administers repairs, maintenance and construction projects/work orders. Remedies problems quickly to avoid downtime and directs work assigned to employees. Responsible for working, planning and overseeing scheduled utility shutdowns, vendor interaction and supervision. Plant Engineering Manager maintains the work order system, weekly preventive maintenance requirements, time/attendance, and any other necessary record keeping and reporting required.

Minimum Education
Associates degree or equivalent experience required
Bachelor's Degree preferred

Minimum Work Experience
Sufficient previous responsible experience in facilities management and engineering.
At least three years supervisory experience Preferred

Required Skills
1. Good health with adequate strength and endurance to perform the work described.
2. Computer Skills: Knowledge of software and applications that will be used
3. Maintains up-to-date licensing and permits as well as regulatory compliance documents required by HFAP, CMS, and state and local agencies.
