Opportunity

The Manager, People Services Operations, will lead a team that is responsible for the organization's People Services (PS) operational framework, ensuring effective administration, governance, and optimization of payroll, benefits, HR systems, compensation programs, and workforce analytics. This role oversees the delivery of critical employee programs, manages HR technology and data integrity, and drives continuous improvement through innovation and process excellence.

Responsibilities

HR Operations & Service Delivery
  • Lead the day-to-day delivery of HR operational services across the employee lifecycle, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance
  • Develop and maintain HR policies, procedures, and service standards that support organizational objectives
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes and enhance employee and manager experiences
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the PS team

Payroll and Benefits Administration
  • Oversee payroll function and processes
  • Ensure compliance with applicable employment standards, tax regulations, and company policies
  • Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes, controls, and employee self-service capabilities

Financial Management, Budgeting & Workforce Planning
  • Partner with leadership to develop and manage the annual PS personnel operating budget, including headcount planning, labor cost management, and organizational growth strategies
  • Partner with leadership on the company personnel budget and forecasting activities including employee salaries, incentive programs, and benefits costs
  • Develop reporting and analytics that provide visibility into workforce costs, staffing trends, and budget performance


HRIS Management (Dayforce)
  • Manage HRIS platform/system including configuration, upgrades, testing, security roles, workflows, and data integrity
  • Partner with stakeholders to optimize system functionality and implement new capabilities


Data Analytics & Reporting
  • Analyze workforce data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities related to talent, compensation, turnover, workforce planning, and employee engagement
  • Provide data supported insights to PS leadership and business leaders to support decision-making
  • Provide data analysis and reporting to support the annual compensation cycle
  • Contribute to corporate sustainability reporting and other strategic People Services initiatives


Innovation & Continuous Improvement
  • Lead PS technology projects and support digital transformation initiatives
  • Champion innovation in PS service delivery through automation, process redesign, and technology enablement
  • Lead cross-functional projects that enhance efficiency, employee experience, and organizational capability


Qualifications and Experience

Education:
  • Post-secondary degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field
  • Chartered Professional in Human Resources designation (CPHR) is preferred


Skills and Experience:
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant human resources experience and experience leading a team
  • Experience with HRIS systems with preference given to Dayforce
  • Ability to demonstrate a growth mindset and experience making scalable process improvements to support organizational growth
  • Ability to collaborate and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrated proficiency in workforce planning, budgeting and forecasting
  • Customer-focused mindset with the ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
  • Experience in a Midstream operating environment considered a strong asset
